Old doors require special parts sometime....works great!!!
I live in an older home with original doors. Needed this for replacement knobs. It worked perfect!! It just replaced the part that came with the doorknob I had purchased. Easily installed it, locks like needed, its looks great and functions as expected with a great price to boot.

Fits square door knob spindle only
The description left out the most important thing to know. Does it fit the half moon spindle that was used in the 50's or does it fit the square spindles that are on newer locks after the 70's? 5" door latches. I ordered it just to see if it worked. And it did. But it would be nice to give a better description so buyers don't have to guess..

Does not fit Schlage
Even though the description shows a Schlage Lever set, the latch bolt will not fit, it looks like it should fit, but the hole in the latch bolt is just a hair to small. Hopefully I will be able to open it up a little with a rotary file and Dremel.

Has very poor quality and wears out very fast. Not recommended for a door that is used daily.
