Oops!
Seem to be very good loppers, beautifully engineered and sharp. Slightly heavy for me (but I am arthritic and old!). My problem and the reason I do not give a higher score is that the very first time I used them (today), the screw on the crescent-shaped part of the blade came out, and that part of the blade and the screw fell into the undergrowth! Luckily I managed to find the 2 missing bits and my husband mended it but I did not expect this from a brand new and not cheap tool! Sorry, I was so shocked I forgot to take a photo!

Excellent tool but not quite up to spec
Very high quality pair of loppers, a delight to use but not quite as good as specified. Yes the jaws will accept a 5.5cm diameter branch but to do so the handles will need to be opened to almost 180 degrees apart. Consequently unless you are extremely strong you will not have the reach or strength to cut any branches >= 5 cm which are above waist height. However, if the 5cm branch is lying on the ground then it can be cut ny laying the non-articulated handle on the ground and applying your full weight to the other handle. There is no such problem in lopping branches which are <=4cm providing they can be reached. In this respect these Fiskar loppers are greatly superior to my old cross-over loppers so I amd very pleased with them. PS. To cut branches > 4cm use the excwllent Fiskar pruning saw.

Bought for someone lefthanded.
Fast delivery and well priced. Bought for someone who's lefthanded and replacing an old worn-out set. The person they were given to is a landscape gardener, so used all the time.

Pretty chunky
Out of the box - as in, time will tell - a very nice cutting action. But working at shoulder-high level, they're relatively heavy and unwieldy for any extended length of time; and working in an area with congested branches it's not always easy to align the blades. Although, once the branches were removed, much easier to hold at ground level and trim further limbs off there. All in all, a pretty decent tool.

Quality Quality Quality
I bought this pair to replace a previously owned Fiskars pair which I had used for over thirteen years and I was delighted with. The old pair had a plastic mechanism which eventually broke due to a friend mistaking a metal bar for a branch. This new pair has a metal mechanism and is amazing - cuts even the toughest branches with so little effort due to the length of the handles which require less effort. However, with the longer handles comes a downside restricting its use in compact working areas. This I can put up with if I get another thirteen plus years out of it.

Excellent range and power
This cuts thick branches and is an outstanding product for ease of use and effect. As it is light weight, it is great for those who might not have much strength. Highly recommend.

Strong, good quality and extremely effective
I have coppiced woodland that has got out of hand and these loppers have been ideal for thinning. They cut through the stands quickly and with remarkable ease. They may not be the cheapest but they are great value for what they are able to do.
