May have found an issue with my primary XBX Series controller
Have another Brook adapter and was pretty happy with it. This one looked cool since the turbo functions seemed like a neat addition, but I have yet to use it.I used this on a PC with Win11 installed. Originally using the controller via bluetooth, it worked fine, but always felt a bit 'off' Not terrible, just that it lagged a bit, wasn't super sensitive, almost felt like you were wading through water when playing high reactive games. One I play in particular, Risk of Rain 2, is a pretty high twitch game and you have to be on point all the time. Some would say "use a mouse and keyboard" but I have my reasons for using a controller, whatever.Anyhow, using this, I instantly noticed a difference in sensitivity on the Y axis, being too zippy, so I had to tone that down. Though the X axis, arguably where I need it the most, was about the same as before. It also feels like there's a weird dead zone lag where it'll be unresponsive and then suddenly quick to respond. Hard to get used to, but something I can deal with.Big thing I noticed, though, is that my left trigger, which I use for jumping (RoR2 is a weird game, trust me, it's way nicer to jump with left trigger on a controller), it has a very weird dead zone issue where if I have a feather (a double-jump item), it will seemingly, at random, initiate a double-jump.The main controller I use, it was very noticable and annoying. So I connected a barely used Series controller, and the issue remained, but happened a fraction of the time, so I think I may have just worn my other controller out. I have 1k+ hours in that game (I feel shame, yes), so if things are starting to wear, makes sense.I think for that, the adapter is good. My guess is the use case I'm putting it in is unconventional, but the adapter appears to have adapted (ahem) well to the environment and should continue working great for my needs well into the future.

Best in the business
If you happen to own multiple consoles you know how expensive it can get to have multiple controllers for each one. A lot of what is out there is designed and works specifically with the chosen console. That would force you to have to go out and buy another controller even though you have basically the exact same one for a different game console. So what this allows you to do is basically use any controller you want for Xbox. You can use your dual sense controller on Xbox if you so chose. I believe it’s 135 or more controllers can be used. What I use this for is my fight stick. I have a mad card Tournament edition that was released for PlayStation only so I could never use it on Xbox. That was until I got the brook adapter. Now I can use my fight stick on Xbox and play killer instinct properly now. There is no addition of perceivable lag when using the adapter so basically it’s perfect. I can’t recommend this product enough. It will save you money in the long run if you are needing a controller that you already own on another system.

Use whatever controller I want.
I've got the entire collection of Brooks controller convertors. They are so amazing to have to convert over fight pads and fight sticks of various systems and generations. This Xbox Series X version is another fantastic, plug and play design. Allows me to use to good ole Street X Tekken six button fight pad again. 360 controllers on the Series X is my favorite part. Makes the controllers work flawlessly. Like they where made for the system. Now there's only one concern here. And that's when I plug the device into my Xbox Series X, I get this warning message from Microsoft. I put a picture up of it here on the message. It says that any third party devices past the end of March 2024 may not work anymore on the system. Only time will tell if this becomes true with Brooks controller conversion.Nintendo seems to be the only company that doesn't have an issue with what controller you want to use. And if Microsoft sticks to this anti third party attack. I guess I won't be able to play my old controllers on the Xbone. But it still will work with 360 a least. Just keep that part in mind. Other than that upcoming issue, the Brooks controller convertor is once again a solid device to have with both wired USB and wireless controllers.

Great for OG Xbox and XBox 360 but as of this review, will not work with Series X
First, if you're here to use the Wingman XB 2 on your Series X or S, well, you're out of luck. As of early March 2024, Brook has yet to release a firmware update which solves the problem of Microsoft banning the device within 2 weeks as soon as you insert it into the USB port of your Series X.BUTI didn't get this for my Series X. I got it to use a Series X controller on my OG Xbox and Xbox 360. It works right out of the box without the firmware update for this purpose. There is no perceptible lag that I can see when using the adapter, and using a brand new controller instead of my old, drifting Xbox 360 controller has made a world of difference. I haven't had issues with input errors or dropped connection so far. An excellent investment if you game on the OG Xbox or 360, which I do on a weekly basis for non-backwards compatible titles. Skip it (for now) if you need to use it on your Series X.3 stars instead of 5 for false advertisement, but useful for the reasons I stated above.

Works great...for now?
This adapter has been fantastic for allowing me to mix and match which controllers I use for playing (clutch for when you have multiple people playing at once and need to get creative). The only issue here is that when I use this on my Xbox Series X I get a notification saying that after this month they will no longer support devices like this. That said, as this is a potential issue, and only restricted to issues on one device, I'm happy to give this a 5/5 as it's functioned great with my other devices (and multiple types of peripherals).

Wireless Controller Adapter for XB Series X/S
I'm a fan of Brook products that allow you to use different controllers with different consoles. I ordered the Brook Wingman XB 2 converter with a keychain to use PlayStation and Switch controllers on my Xbox Series X, and I've been very impressed with the product and its features. It has many advantages over traditional Xbox docks or other third-party docks. It is a small, lightweight device that plugs into the USB port of your Xbox console. It has a front light that changes color to indicate whether the device is on or off. A keychain makes it easy to carry and store. Supports wireless Bluetooth connectivity and wired USB connectivity. Supports PlayStation (PS3, PS4, PS5) and Nintendo Switch Pro controllers and other Bluetooth controllers. Xbox (One, 360, original) controllers are also supported, and an extra female USB to Xbox conversion cable is included. The Wingman XB 2 converter works great with my Xbox Series X, and I can use my favorite controllers. The device is easy to set up and use, and its plug-and-play functionality works with all TV models and brands. The unit is stable and fast and doesn't cause any lag or interference. The unit also works well with my PC and Steam deck. However, the Wingman XB 2 Converter does have one major drawback: it's not licensed by Xbox and therefore not approved for use on the console. This means that Xbox may consider it an unauthorized accessory and disable the device after 14 days. Additionally, using this device may violate the terms of service and you may be reported for cheating, especially in multiplayer games. These are serious risks that potential buyers should be aware of.Overall, I think the Wingman XB 2 Converter is a great product that fulfills my needs, but also has major flaws. It is easy to use, stable, and versatile. It provides a feature-rich, cross-platform controller experience. It's excellent value for the price. However, it is not certified by Xbox and may be disabled or banned by the console. So, while I would recommend it to anyone looking for a wireless controller adapter for Xbox, I would also warn you of the possible consequences.

Works for supported adding console controllers to PC
I tested the Brook Wingman XB2 solely for adding console controllers, and specifically a Switch controller, so it can be used on a PC as I don't own any of the relevant Xbox controllers. It worked flawlessly with my PowerA controller. The device itself has a few quirks. First off, the documentation that comes with it is sparse and not very informative; your best bet is to go directly to the Brook website or use the QR code on the manual to access it. Second, once on the website it's also not super user friendly. Your first order of business is to find and update the firmware as they regularly add new controllers, but unlike most sites that isn't found anywhere near the top of the page or in obvious menus, but way down at the bottom. Helpfully though, the button to download the full manual is also right there next to it. Updating the firmware was quite straightforward as well; you download a utility to a PC, plug in the converter while holding down its two LED-lit buttons, and then run the updater. It updated within a few seconds and was up and running immediately. The other drawback aside from the documentation/website clarity is the cost. At $65 CAD at time of review, this is a pretty expensive little adapter and honestly if you're a PC user you may be better off just spending that toward a dedicated PC controller. Where this shines is in allowing a whole bunch of supported controllers (it lists over 100 on the website) that you may already own to work on your PC, in which case its worth it if you own them already.I can't comment on its capabilities with the Xbox as I don't own one.

Do not buy it doesnt work!
It doesn't work on a xbox series x/s console because microsoft banned this device and on xbox 360 there's a input lag that makes it unplayable to use especially if you're playing a 3rd person shooter or fps. Really disapointed especially after paying $70+...

Flawless installation and update from support website and UNIVERSAL modern controller support
I love the Brook Wingman XB 2 Converter! It does exactly what it says it does - it enables the use of different wired and wireless controllers on XBOX series consoles as well as PC. Including the ORIGINAL XBOX, if you have an adapter cable. PS5 controller on original XBOX? What an age we live in!The majority of my testing was done with PC because updates are only available on this platform. Updates are as simple as going to the Brook site, downloading a SUPER easy to install app and then holding both of the side buttons of the Wingman as you plug it into the PC. Select the version you want (always pick the latest version, unless otherwise instructed by the support team) and hit the update button. It could not be easier! 15-20 seconds later just reset the Wingman by unplugging and plugging it in again. All wired controllers instantly pair when plugged in - there is ZERO configuration required. Wireless configuration just requires pairing similar to the way you add a new controller to a console - both buttons on the Wingman pressed while it is already plugged in (not while plugging in), then press the pair button on your controller. Setting up autofire and button mapping is a bit more complicated, so watch the 2nd video on the listing - they do a GREAT job of walking you through the process. You can cheat using the autofire/turbo button, so for single player games go nuts. But don't use this in online play! Nobody likes a cheater.Highly recommended!

This is now PC only not compatible with xbox
In my experience, the Wingman XB 2 converter performed admirably, providing stable and lag-free connectivity, both wirelessly and via USB. I was pleased with its plug-and-play functionality on my PC enhancing its versatility but it's no longer compatible with Xbox at all even with the latest firmware. However, it's crucial to address a significant drawback of this product: its lack of Xbox certification. This makes this an uncertified controller and unusable on the Xbox as you can see from the pictures I've uploaded of my Xbox blocking me from using it.And yes I checked their website for firmware updates and applied the latest one and still get this error I wish they would stop advertising this is Xbox compatible because it is not although it is PC compatible so at least you can use it for pc
