It Is More Ergonomic & Feels Natural
I used to have the M570 trackball. Loved it. I had several, actually. But I felt it was time to get something new. Something possibly better? I didn't even know they made the MX Ergo. I did a little research and thought, "Yeah, I think I will get that one." So I did. When I got it, everything was smooth. No problems setting up or charging it, Solid buy.But then it was the clicking. The clicking that I could not get over how loud it was. Left click and it is all you hear after a while. I kept thinking, "I will get used to it, it'll go away, it's not that bad, oh well just deal with it, etc." But the clicking was distracting. It wasn't loud in the traditional sense, it is just... noticeable. When I buy a premium mouse, I don't want to have the clicking sound be super noticeable. It can absolutely be present, but not distracting. I watched a view videos on YouTube on how to quiet the clicker. I was like, "Naw, no way. Not for me. I just got this mouse and I am not taking it apart and messing around with those pieces inside. No way." Then last Saturday night, I said, "I am taking this thing apart and I messing with those pieces inside." Something had to be done. Now, I am an electronics person, so taking it apart and figuring out how to undo the ribbon cables and such was not so difficult. But, for some, I imagine it could be very difficult. Anyway, it was either that or soldering new silent switches on it. Which I was prepared to do and still might do. Anyway, I get inside the little clicker switch box, tinker around with the top metal piece that you need to lower and.... it worked. Put it back together and now I can focus on more important things. Like how silent the clicking is.... that's my life though. That's how it works. One constant revolving door.Anyway, still gave it five stars. Love the programmable buttons. Saves ample time and it truly feels better in your hand. Plus, unlike the M570 it has this rubbery coating that isn't just straight plastic. So that helps with the comfort. Feels solid too. The thing stays put and it's solid. Should have given it 4.5 stars cause of the clicking, but I know it won't bother everyone and it is a great mouse so 5 stars.

A solid upgrade from the last generation
As a refurbished item, it's is very hard to tell it was ever used. The packaging was complete with manuals, parts, cables and of course the mouse. No scuffs, no gunk in the ball area scroll wheel, and everything works. It was a simple plug and play into my windows 10 laptop. The added Plus wedge made the Ergo a perfect match for my hand position. I drafted for 3 straight hours this morning and didn't need to stretch once. The ball seems to be identical to the last version in tracking and gunk collection. The only downside is the inability for me to push the ball out with just my pinky finger like I used to. Now I need to find myself a Bic pen to pop it out from underneath.Buttons are properly tacktile and clicky. Scroll wheel is much improved with less clack when zipping through a document, though the indents are more subtle and less annoying.Switching from Bluetooth to the mini receiver is seamless. Great for the docking station when I want to combine mouse and keyboard, and then grab the mouse and laptop to go to a meeting without worrying about anything sticking out of my laptop. The only downside is no place to store the receiver on the mouse itself. Luckily with the Bluetooth feature, I don't see myself taking the receiver out of the dock anyways. The texture on the mouse offers a solid grip, which I didn't realize I would need. Now that the mouse is at an angle, without the grip, my hand would probably constantly slide off.I'll update if the battery is less than stellar. If it hits anywhere close to 3 months of use, I'd be quite happy with it.Go ahead and give this a try, though I'd suggest getting it for under $70 as it's nowhere near a $99 mouse.

worth it, I recommend other than this having the old and obsolete USB type
I'm a trackball vet with museum of the originals packed away somewhere here. I've converted entire programming teams into trackball believers. That said, I actually took a break for a long time, happy to return. With my history in trackballs I wanted to test the landscape of new options. Also bought a Kingston and Perixx. All were good, the ergo on the Kingston is a little too aggressive but that can have it uses. Of the three though the Logitech is the best, worth price difference and one I defaulted to for daily driver. (other than the Perixx having better polling that might cause me to favor it when gaming)cons..Can't believe this doesn't have a USB-C, obsolete USB type makes it a pain to charge.Received a bad one; first had broken right button spring, replacement wasn't rolling smooth, scared me, I switched the balls and it made all the difference. I was surprised swapping balls would make that difference.proCharge lasts decently. Not as long as the old replaceable battery version, but decent. Maybe 2 weeks or a lot longer I not sure.scroll wheel is qualitymost comfortable everquality buildthe trackball struggle: Popping ball out to clean accumulated crud off the roller bearings is easy/fast. I think the roll is smoother than previous gens.Don't buy the Pro version. That rubber ergo mount isn't worth $2 and not worth the hassle of using. I think most will get tired of keeping it in place and stop using like I did.the magnet base is clever and innovative. occasionally I even use it when my wrist getting tired to switch the angle up for awhile.Great job Logitech!

A Must-Have
I’ve been using the Logitech MX ERGO for a while now, and it’s a game-changer for long hours at the computer. The feel is amazing, and the ergonomic design really makes a difference. Just make sure to consistently clean the sensor under the ball to keep it running smoothly.I’ve had a couple of these—one had an issue with the left click failing, but I still keep coming back because it’s that good. If you’re at your desk a lot, this is definitely worth having in your setup.
