I purchased this item last year as part of a pirate costume, and it was a good fit and was of excellent quality. This year, I underwent cataract procedures on both eyes. After the surgery, a protective plastic cover was taped over each eye. I was able to put the leather patch back to use, and it worked fabulously. It's Cool and feels pretty good on my eye...but it's just a bit too big and it's straps don't adjust to the size of my head.

I have been using an eye patch for 3 years now. I hated the bulky,bulging patch that left gaps around the eye.With what happened to my vision I was left with just getting light in my right eye. So my low vision specialist suggested an eye patch to block out what light I did see so my right eye would try to take overWith this style patch, absolutely NO light gets in and not I can use my right right although the vision in that eye was never very good. The vision is at least not able to adjust to what is around me now.This style patch is fantastic.I do recommend getting at least 3 or 4 so you can change out throughout the week, giving the patches time to dry out between uses.
