Great Quality and Operation
I almost didn't buy this jacks because of the negative reviews. I'm glad I bought them despite the reviews. They are very useful and are well made. HOWEVER, they don't work miracles. If you expect a handheld device to exert the lifting power of a hydraulic floor jack, you will be disappointed in these jacks. They multiply the power you exert on the handle so you must be strong to lift heavy loads. I found them useful in conjunction with a car jack. I used these jacks to raise, for example, a crate a few inches and then used my mechanical floor jack to raise it more while using these jacks to stead two corners. These jacks are well made out of metal with very little plastic. The fingers do not bend. I lifted a 250 pound load with no damage to the jack. The case is also convenient for storage.

What a life saver as a solo person.
They make the job so much easier, especially since i work alone. Nicely coated so no maring of the items being lifted, etc. The storage box is just right.

Saved me $$$$ for a repair
Sometimes you need something to hold an awkward item up. These jacks fit that need.I had a section of my sunroom floor rot out and the wall settled into the hole. Yup, not good. These jacks worked with my thumb hydraulic jack allowing me to lift the wall and repair the damaged floor under it. I had to repair it in sections since the jacks were holding up the wall section but it worked. I now have a repaired floor and level wall again.

Couldn't have done it without them......
I needed to raise the seating height of a sectional. Based on how it sits, it would have been difficult for me to tilt each section on its side and line up individual pedestals then flip it back over. I needed to be able to lift each section in the air then place the furniture risers under each leg then set it back down. I had two sets of these and easily suspended each section in the air while I placed the risers then lowered it back down. I couldn't have done it alone without these. For this alone it was worth it... not to mention the other occasions these have come in handy since then.

A very handy tool. Instructions are bad. You can hurt yourself.
This tool made lifting a heavy dresser a one-hand piece of cake. However, to use this for furniture or door lifting you must first remove a plastic right angle piece on the top of the lift. I believe this is needed if you're using the tool to clamp materials, i.e. gluing boards. But if you are using the lift for furniture or doors, you must remove the plastic piece, otherwise the piece prevents you from positioning the lift flush with the furniture or door. The instructions don't mention this. It's easy to remove the piece, but be cautious --the screw that holds the piece is the limiter for upward travel of the lift. If you lift too far (as I did) a very powerful spring flies off and could really hurt you.

Good for Leveling Home Appliances
I've actually found these to be fairly strong and useful around the house. So far I have used them to hold a metal outside door in place while I removed the hinges and when reinstalling the same door. I've also used them to level a washer and dryer stack. The squeeze handle mechanism and release works smoothly and the base is thin enough to get under most all appliances. I like that they came in a storage case and that the kit includes hooks that can be installed on the top of the jack post. The only negative I have with these is the part at the top of the jack post used for clamping applications. It is made of plastic and doesn't seem like it would hold up to the clamping forces that could be applied with these. That and it gets in the way when using the jacks. I ended up just removing them, which by the way isn't very easy as I had to use a hammer to tap them off. I think this kit would be much more useful if the clamping piece was instead made out of metal and was a little longer.Despite my one negative, I am overall very happy with this jack kit and find it very handy.

Junk
Cheaply made, slips when you start to lift anything even fairly light. I tested it on lifting my couch and it slipped just about the whole time. Do not bother you will be disappointed.
