Great card for a budget gaming PC build
The MSI GeForce GTX 3050 is a solid entry-level graphics card that offers impressive performance for budget-conscious gamers and content creators. It comes with NVIDIA’s Ampere architecture, which provides significant power efficiency and improved performance over its predecessors. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:Performance: The GTX 3050 shines in 1080p gaming. It handles most modern titles at medium to high settings, delivering smooth gameplay with a frame rate of around 60fps or more. While it won’t be able to tackle demanding 4K gaming at ultra settings, it performs well in most AAA games at 1080p and even some esports titles at higher frame rates. Ray tracing capabilities are present, but you’ll need to dial down settings for a consistent performance boost, especially in more graphically demanding games.Cooling & Build Quality: MSI’s Twin Frozr cooling solution is one of the standout features of this card. It’s quiet and efficient, keeping the GPU temperatures in check even under load. The build quality is solid, and the card itself feels premium, with a sleek design that fits well into most PC builds. The two-fan design ensures that the GPU stays cool, making it ideal for compact builds where airflow is crucial.Design and Aesthetics: The card’s design is typical of MSI’s modern aesthetic, featuring RGB lighting and a clean look that fits into most gaming rigs. While not as flashy as some high-end GPUs, it strikes a good balance of style without being over-the-top. It’s a great option for users who want a clean, understated look in their build.Price-to-Performance Ratio: At its price point, the MSI 3050 offers excellent value for users who are looking for budget-friendly options that don’t compromise too much on gaming experience. It's an excellent choice for gamers who don’t need top-tier performance but want a reliable graphics card that can handle most modern games at 1080p resolution.Final Thoughts: The MSI GeForce GTX 3050 is an excellent option for gamers who want good performance at 1080p without breaking the bank. It offers a great balance of price, performance, and cooling, making it a solid pick for entry-level gaming systems or budget-conscious users who still want a quality gaming experience. While it’s not going to compete with the more powerful GPUs in 4K or demanding tasks, it is a perfect fit for those who want to play the latest games at 1080p with great performance.

Solid small-form-factor card - nothing fancy, but it's small and gets the job done!
Solid way to bring RTX capabilities (DLSS the most important given the capabilities of this card...you...uhhh...aren't going to be using the ray-tracing with this one) to budget PC builds.Nothing amazing, performance wise - but it's capable, quiet, and small enough to fit even very small enclosures.

Solid NVIDIA choice for low power or low profile needs
This card has been working well for me for quite a few months. You won't game AAA titles with it, but for lower end needs, video editing for example, it works very well for the price. I use it in a Linux PC Desktop, it has worked excellent for me there.

Small form, perfect for small pc box
Dont expect great performance, is a low profile card at a low cost, it does what it promises. Good for low med performance games, even a bit better but dont want to raise false expectations . Check what you want to achieve and define which card is best for that before buying

Affordable low profile video card
I was in need for a new low profile and power card for my HTPC. I've been running a 1050ti since launch and it was starting to really struggle with newer releases plus NVENC was dated. I've been running the RTX 3050 6GB all week and it's a massive upgrade over the 1050ti.Pros- 70w low profile card- Upto 100% performance improvement over the 1050 ti- Stays cool and quiet under load- Updated NVENC with h.265 bframes and AV1 decode. Will make a good media card when it gets older.Cons- Needed to remove plastic shroud to install low profile bracket; only 4 tiny screws so not that difficult- Not enough VRAM to dabble in AI (Chat with RTX)- Raytracing performance (only first gen or light RT games will be performant eg. Control, Spiderman)- PCIe 4.0 8x link; can possibly lead to minor performance dropsIf you're in need of a tiny slot powered card; MSI's 3050 is great! Some other anecdotal results; I went from playing Elden Ring and Armored core at 720p60 low to 1080p60 med/high.

MSI doesn't stand by their 1-year limited warranty
Terrible customer support. After wasting a week going back and forth with MSI's online tech support system, they aren't covering replacing the failed graphics card after six months. I had been a fan of MSI for years as a high volume PC system builder, but after my experience this week with their manufacturer support I am done with them. Your experience may vary, but their support department has extreme bias against any MSI products purchased on Amazon. After showing them my Amazon invoice from last June, they found some loophole saying that because Amazon wasn't an "authorized" seller they won't support my 1-year limited warranty. I don't know who is at fault here, but it seems to me MSI since lots of their brand products are sold on Amazon. Anyways, their loss -- I am never buying an MSI product ever again.

Great for prebuilt PCs
I bought an HP Envy desktop recently:SpecsHP EnvyIntel i7-1470032gb ram(also installed myself up from 16)\Windows 111TB SSDOther than the new ram I bought this thing prebuilt from Best buy but since this is gonna be a workstation for music and and design I wanted a graphics card a bit beefer than the integrated graphics on the PC. The problem, HP desktops use proprietary parts so I couldn't upgrade the power supply. That's where this graphics card comes in. This little thing doesn't need its own power supply from the PSU. It gets all it needs from the motherboard. It's as simple as popping it in and downloading the drivers. I didn't buy this graphics card to run games though just some 3D software and some video production and it does great. I did download Minecraft just to see what it would do and it ran flawlessly so do with that what you will. Its a perfect addition to beef up a prebuilt PC.
