Cordless Hedge Trimmer Compatible with DEWALT 20V MAX Battery (No Battery), Electric Hedge Trimmer Cordless Grass Trimmer, Bush Trimmer Grass Shears Handheld for Yard, Garden, Lawn Care

I purchased this product after a family member bought a competitor's trimmer. I had DeWalt batteries already, for use with other tools, and was pleased to find a trimmer that could make use of them. The battery is simple to attach and entirely secure. With the battery inserted, the product is lightweight and well balanced, capable of use with one hand. Both the grass and shrub blades were easy to insert and remove, and are firmly locked in place. Start up and operation requires a slider and a trigger to be held in place manually: there is no locking mechanism, a useful safety feature. There is no guard between the on switches and the moving blades as there are with longer hedge trimmers, so care is required during operation to avoid the risk that a supporting hand strays towards the blades. The trimmers themselves are solid and well made. They move fast and they are are sharp: even the grass cutter will handle thin-branched shrubs. The shrub trimmer itself is robust and a good size for shaping curves on bushes. We did not know that this tool existed until last week and now we have it, we can see that it will make much easier a variety of garden tasks we did less efficiently and effectively. Highly recommended.

Worthless.I'd return it if the return window was a year wide. Didn't really use it until this spring and it doesn't cut anything bigger in diameter than a human hair. Plus the gear box jams so the jaws don't move at all. Using it with a DeWalt battery is like putting a Ferrari engine in a Model T with a broken axle.

We recently sold a home and down sized to a home with a smaller yard. We used a corded hedge trimmer to trim a yard full of mature shrubs at our previous home. I needed a new shrub trimmer at our new home, and I was interested in a small cordless trimmer that would work with my DEWALT 20V Max 1.5 Ah batteries that I use with a cordless drill. The HEINPRO Cordless hedge trimmer worked perfectly right out of the box to trim my shrubs. The trimmer is light and easy to maneuver around my shrubs. I do not have to worry about tripping on a cord or accidently cutting a power cord. I have not used the grass shears yet. A small, DEWALT 20V Max 1.5 Ah battery easily powered the trimmer. The trimmer easily cut through branches about 1/4" thick. I was able to make short work trimming shrubs around our house and finished in less than 15 minutes. It took longer to rake up the plant trimmings. I do not know how long the small 1.5 Ah battery will power the trimmer before the charge runs low, but I expect to deterimine this with more use of the trimmer.

This exceeded my expectations.Grass clipper: I tried it out next to my raspberry plants where the grass was really overgrown and thick. It never even bogged down. When I came too close to the raspberrys, it sliced through them as well!Hedge clipper: I tried this part out on some tree limbs that were probably about a quarter of and inch thick just to see what would happen. The clippers went right through without stopping. I also tried them on a large patch of grass. It cut that equally as well.Overall: It appears well-made and once the battery is attached, the unit has nice balance. Both blades are very sharp, but they are removable. So when the time comes, resharpening with be easy.UPDATE: After using this for a couple of days, the blades slowed down and a grinding noise started. I took it apart and found that 2 of the gears had several missing teeth, which I found in the housing. After contacting the company, they immediately suggested sending a NEW one to me. No questions, no haggling, no hassles. This is a company that stands behind their product. I'll update this again if the same thing happens...

Did not fit my needs. I can’t kneel to get near ground level to use, so I returned this item.

Purchased this product because of compatibility with existing batteries. Used it just a couple times and it was great. I went to use it this season for the first time and it clicks loudly even without the clipper attached. The gear mechanism is stripped.Would not recommend this product

Super awesome and works great trimming small bushes/hedges.

It seems pretty well put together, but be very careful when using it so you don't try to trim something that is too heavy for it. A hard twig can jam the blades and since it has no clutch mechanism to prevent internal damage, a gear In the gear box will strip. The gears are pretty light cast allow and won't take much abuse.
