All in all thrilled with this purchase. The burl is matte which is my only disappointment - at some point I will varnish it or something for shine. But cannot beat the price. Frame is lightweight which I want. Mat is very cool white but backside of May is a cream… slight complaint is that the cream side has some black dots on it from the mounting hardware but it works and it’s a great price for a really impossible to find size and look.

I am always on the prowl for affordable frames to use in my art business. I really liked the color and burl grain in the promo photos. Surprise!—I was removing the bubble wrap when the back attached easel ripped off. I mean, who knows—maybe it was hanging by a thread anyway, but it completely came off and there is no way to reattach it. The only way to use the frame is to hang it. That will be ok on some situations, but it’s not chic or nice appearing.—do you see the dark brown color of my frames as compared to the product image? Mine are deep brown, and there is almost no discernible “burl” or wood grain to any of the four I received.Honestly, I cannot recommend. If you want good looking affordable framing options, look further.

A lot of frames these days are cheaply made. These are precisely opposite. They are made of beautiful burl wood, nicely finished. Can fit a 5x7 picture with mat or 8x10 without. These fit well with many styles, including our mid century boho eclectic style. They are a bit pricey, but worth it for a special gift or splurge.

Then it isn’t good quality.The quality is sub par. Had to order twice. First set came broken. You get what you pay for.

For some reason, all 4 of these frames had a sticker that said “burl wood” smack dab in the middle of the glass. When trying to peel them off, it leaves a ton of residue on the glass that could only be removed with Goo Gone and a scraping tool. It took about 30 mins to remove completely.Additionally, on 2 of the frames, the matting doesn’t fit perfectly and left a gap between the matte and the wood. I was able to tape the matte as a workaround. It’s not perfect but it’s better.Overall the frames look nice aside from these 2 issues.

Thought these were highly glossed burl wood frames. Burled wood is there and pretty but it almost seems there isn’t much to seal it. Feels smooth over top but a bit rough on edges. Will add picture soon.
