I had an issue with my Champion 11k inverter generator immediately shutting down in my generator shed due to the oversensitive carbon monoxide sensor. Even though I have a powered exhaust fan the CO built up too quick and would shut down in a minute or two.This kit fit perfectly. Per the instruction, I had to remove the spark arrestor AND the adapter under it. Then the 2 hole plate bolted right on with the factory screws. I had to trim the flex pipe a little to fit my shed. I also wrapped some hvac tape around the muffler to snug it up through the mounting plate. Works great.

It worked okay to remove Carbon Monoxide fumes from the inside of the barn but it did not seem to silence the noise. Overall it works okay.

Used this extender to vent exhaust gases from my custom built shed. The parts are heavy duty. My generator required the round adapter. I removed the spark arrester from the muffler and did have to drill holes in the muffler cover, as none of the adapter holes lined up with the spark screen holes. That was no problem. I used muffler sealant to avoid leaks. The flex hose diameter was exactly the size to fit the adapter (1.5"), with no sloppiness. Again, I used muffler sealant at the joints and then tightened the included clamps. The wall plate was an easy install. However, the adapter fitting was only spot welded in three places, so it was necessary to use sealant around the fitting. I purchased this mainly for exhaust extension through the wall, not so much for noise abatement. And the price was reasonable compared to other similar products. There is no reason to not recommend this brand. It is described accurately, is top quality, and simple to install. All parts were packed with care in bubble wrap. I did not need to contact the seller.

It started out okay. Neither adapter flange worked with my 9000k Champion. The round 7 hole would not line up over my factory 3 screw muffler. I decided to take it off and go directly on the head exhaust port with the 2 hole flange. Only the 1/4" slots were too small. They required drilling out to accommodate the 5/16 studs. After some mods, I got it installed and temporarily hung with a large hose clamp. Anxious to try it out, I started the generator and brought it up to temperature. Immediately the painted muffler started to smoke. Maybe two minutes in and it was full on smoking and burning off the black paint. It was bubbling and a foul smelling smoke. I'd rather not had it painted and me paint it with high temp grill paint, instead if this mess. The pipe looks like stainless, but it's also a type of paint or dip. It turned black instantly. I'll be returning this kit, and starting over. Good on paper, but not what I want in a product. Also it's not a muffler. Only cuts down on the high pitched sounds fine. Lows pass right through, and louder than my factory though. Thanks!

This is anything but universal! Unit looks good, but if you have a Duramax generator then this won't fit. The seller tried to help me with getting an adapter, but even that didn't help.I am changing the rating to give credit to the seller who has gotten back to me. When they didn't respond timely I thought that they had abandoned me. However, it wasn't intentional and they got back to me. Adding two more stars for the stellar customer service.

Installation was a breeze. Exhaust adapter fit perfectly on my Western House 9500/12500 DF generator. Noise level is considerably lower than before even though it is not a issue where I am located. Everything appears of good quality. Would recommend.

The media could not be loaded. It is larger than what I thought.It is well built, heavy duty . . .It does redirect exhaust.Noise level about the same, generators are noisy, not all noise from exhaust. . .
