This is a very durable and powerful pump. I use it to connect to the faucet outside to power multiple sprinklers. I can power 360-degree sprinklers on four tracks that shoot 15 feet each. It is easy to set up and works very well. If your water is low, a pump will help. I also used a pump to drain the pool.

This is my second pump in 15 years. The first one lasted 14 years, and only stopped due to a leaking ceramic motor shaft seal. It was the fault of a leak in the foot valve, whick caused a loss of prime, and the motor ran for a solid week without water for lubrication and cooling. This one bolted up identically to my existing pipework with o-ring unions. So far it works great. My only complaint is the description says the pump is cast iron, but it's not. The pump housing is plastic, with brass threaded inserts for inlet and outlet. It shouldn't be an issue, but we shall see.

The pump works great, but for demand use (eg, with shutoff valves) you will also need a check valve between the water source and the pump, otherwise the pressure tank will push water back into the water source.

I contacted the seller after purchase because the pump wasn’t cutting off at the target pressure. Three weeks to the day into owning and operating it daily the pump failed. The failure was it just running and running and not being able to build any pressure above 18psi. I contacted the seller and they didn’t seem that friendly. Told me they’d give an answer on a refund or replacement and it’d take about a week to get one shipped out.I had hopes in this being a decent pump but turned out to be a disappointment.

Does the job first time every time, like the on off switch

Easy install. Working in less then 5 minutes after set inplace. I replaced one purchased three years ago that developed a leak, then motor stopped. I live where the water is high Sulfur in shallow well, pump is low maintenance.

The bolts connecting the motor to the tank were finger tight. I had to disconnect the plumbing and electric and put it on bench to tighten bolts. It required using channel locks to hold the bolt head because the top of the hold down bolt is inaccessible. I seriously doubt that the motor is 1.6 HP as advertised but it puts out sufficient water. The reason I couldn't comment on suction is I am using an artesian well.

This is the second time I have purchased this pump. The first one ran well and gave me no trouble. The only reason I am having to purchase another one is because I failed to adequately protect it from the cold winter elements. I would recommend this pump to anyone.

I bought this to pump water out of a brook fed pond to water new lawns I had created when clearing land around my property. I am halfway thru my second season with this pump and it works great. Very easy to set up and I run mine using a remote controlled power switch to turn on and off. I have been running long hoses to 2 sprinklers at a time and get very good coverage. I often run it upwards of 6 hours a day and never an issue. My pump is about 15 ft above the water so I haven't tested it with a higher draw, but I expect it would work fine. I don't write many reviews but this pump deserved a good review. I planned on building an enclosure for it but never got around to it, so all this long term performance just sitting out in the weather.

This unit has a 1" threaded outlet so I had to use a couple of reducers to get down to a suitable size for a typical garden hose faucet. Other than that ( expensive plumbing items needed) I am quite happy with this pump and would have given 5 stars.

Leaks profusely from every connection. It seems to pump well, but it's a moot point because it sprays water from every connection.

Well packaged with molded styrofoam. The pump and reservoir were wrapped in a cello bag.The bag did have water droplets inside and when I did a quick start n stop 'dry' test, some residual water came out.Meaning the factory did a Quality Assurance test prior to shipping.Works A1, just make sure the pump is primed as per instructions.Happy all away around.
