Like most fertilizers I have used in the past I was expecting a horrible smell, but this product had none to complain about. It worked like a charm if you follow their directions.My only complaint is I wish there was more in my bag to use :). But I will just order some more as this product is worth its weight in gold. Awesome results from an awesome product.

This saved my yard from the dogs! Our puppy loved to dig and once she outgrew it - we had quite a few spots that needed some TLC. This worked great. Make sure to follow the step by step instructions as that’s 100% necessary to get the desired results but totally worth it. Our yard looks great and it blends in with the rest of the lawn. Easy to use and very happy with the results!

Our project last fall was to build our new deck, but the steps was another deal. Once they were constructed, we did not have enough time to lay more topsoil at the base, fertilize, and plant grass seed. I ordered this 18 lb. bag of The Andersons Professional Ecofusion™ Starter 16-21-4 Biosolid Fertilizer so that we could get a jump on it in the spring. Landscaping cleanup after winter took priority. We finally decided today was the day, May 21, 2024, to finish the rest of the deck. When we opened the bag, the small-medium granules surprisingly had no odor. My boyfriend prepped the area before he sprinkled the fertilizer and raked it in. Our bag of grass seed was purchased last fall, so he decided to apply it heavily, hoping enough grass will pop up, as long as we keep it watered. We do have bird feeders hanging nearby, as always, and hope the flying visitors won't pick at the grass seed. At this point, it's just a waiting game if this Andersons fertilizer will help promote a strong grass patch worthy of preceding our deck, standing up to footprints in about 8 weeks. Stay tuned.

No smells!

I’ve been really impressed with this product. It’s easy to spread and use, and I saw results almost immediately—my grass is now lush and green. While I still need something for weed control, this is excellent for boosting the growth of established grass.

I got this for our spring fertilizer application. It took a couple of weeks, but I can say that my lawn looks lush and green!Pros:+As a granular fertilizer, it is really easy to apply. We put it in a spreader and got an even application.+We applied it within a day or so of expected rain. It didn't wash away with the rain. We could still see quite a few of the granules after a reasonably hard rain storm, which tells me that it is a slower absorption.+After about a week, I noticed that our lawn had livened up and became greener, lush.+I trust The Anderson's brand. I grew up with it and was very happy to find this for purchase online after they closed our local store. Thank you!Cons: none. Great, trusted fertilizer.

The grass started growing within a week after we applied it. It was easy to spread and now the grass looks better. Really like the results!

I'm a little disappointed, as I've been using this for about two months and have not seem any difference in my lawn or plants. The nutrients seem to release very slowly, especially if you don't aerate first, so it's a bit underwhelming.
