The Gravity of Math: How Geometry Rules the Universe

The importance of geometry in physics for the myriad
Alas, I am not a mathematician nor a physicist, nor a historian. Therefore, I cannot tell you if this account is factually accurate or mathematically sound. But the authors make a convincing argument for the (at times overlooked) importance of geometry to progress in physics. But more importantly, it was enjoyable to read and, compared with textbook accounts which tend to make scientific progress seem all but inevitable, by putting the players in their contemporary context where second guessing, disagreements and false starts were common, it helped humanize the history of physics and its interplay with mathematics.

Still plowing through it….
It’s fine I’m not the best reader these days! Can’t stay awake….takes forever to get through these things!

Gives an understanding of general relativity without heavy maths.
I'm reading through this a second time to better fix the concepts in my mind. I think it's a topic that everyone should have at least a basic understanding of and this book allows that. Well written, interesting historical perspective. Recommended.
