Very useful to keeping my aquarium cold but seems to display a couple of degrees °c above what actual temperature is. Not to noisy and and has an auto feature where it will turn off untill a certain °c is met.

Received this today, did a test run in a buck of water as it was to late to start messing about with the fish tank, seems to work really well but the instructions let it down alot if these could be simplified it would be great as it stands, if I set it at the temperature the unit shuts off if I set it at below 10 degrees it kicks in so find it a little confusing

Works well and cools down to 18 degrees really fast from power on...approximately 10 minutes.Edit: Had this chiller and been using for 2 months but now and had no problems.But now it's struggling to cool down the water. It used to take 10 minutes to cool down the water but now it takes 3-4 hours to cool water and getting worse.I've cleaned the chiller with an oxygen blower to remove dust from fans etc but it hasn't made much difference.I may have to send the unit back under the 12 month warranty.My water tank is only 35 litres so this should easily cope with the chiller quoting 160l.

I am updating my review as my product came with an additional extra hidden in the machine, a dead Shrimp which caused an infection in my tank, this took me around a week to realise and due to that time for it to be ejected my Axolotl as killed due to it. I cannot contact the company to get this issue resolved as attempting to contact them leads only to dead ends.If you buy these chillers make sure to check the internal mechanisms or test them before moving them to a main tank! They must either be reselling them OR testing them with tanks filled with shrimp capable of working their way into the mechanisms. I have lost a well looked after pet thanks to this bad Q/A and I know plenty of people buy these for Axolotls, be VERY careful.

I'm so happy with this product. Its relatively cheap for a chiller but that does not reflect on the quality, its great. Easy to set up, any tutorial on YouTube will show as most chillers are the same. My axolotl is so happy. It took the temp from 20°C down to 16°C in about 15 minutes. It also arrived early too!

Purchased 160litre for a 125litre tank. Having had trouble keeping tank temp below 18c the purchase of this chiller has easily solved the problem and keeps tank at an axolotl comfortable 15.5c - 16.5c . easy to set up, I attached direct to filter however the pump supplied with adjustable water flow was of good quality if have to use this. On initial start up the condenser makes a very loud noise but after an hour of running this went away and become very quiet. very quickly got temp in tank down and has maintained with no effort.19th July 2022 With the current high temps of around 40c at moment the tank has maintained a temp of 15.5c with ease so extremely happy with thus purchase

Does it have reverse flow need to run a cleaning cycle tubes all gunked up

The chiller worked really well for 1.5 years (that’s the only reason I didn't give it one star). Then today I wake up and see my nearly dead axolotl. The chiller had been running nonstop and the water was 8C despite being set at 17.5C. My axolotl is recovering but I don't know how much longer he would have survived at that temperature. I tried turning it back on to troubleshoot, but I smelled burning that I hadn't smelled before. I haven't found warranty information yet, so this is really painful, it was a big investment and it's broken after only 1.5 years.
