Bright, rugged, small, lightweight, rechargeable and easy to carry, great EDC flashlight
Great flashlight! Super bright for the small size, comfortable in your hand, and conveniently rechargeable with USB-C port. The Sofirn SP31 V3.0 Tactical Flashlight is a great flashlight for everyday carry (EDC) as it's small, lightweight, rugged, rechargeable, and super bright! Easy to use intuitive controls - a tail switch for momentary on (soft press) and on/off, and then a second button near the head for brightness adjustment Easily fits in your pocket and comes with a belt / pocket clip as well as a lanyard for keeping it on your wrists. Very pleased with the purchase and definitely recommend,.

Great tactical flashlight from Sofirn
I've been using the SP31 V3.0 for the past month, and have enjoyed using it. It features a tactical rear switch with momentary on, as well as a side switch to cycle between different modes. It uses 18650 batteries and is small and lightweight. I have used the Sofirn SP31 Pro as my EDC for a few years now, and enjoy the tactical switch of the SP31 V3.0 compared to it. Build quality is excellent, which I expected after owning several Sofirn lights. The flashlight UI is very simple to operate. Full press of the tail switch to turn the flashlight on, and press the side switch to cycle between the different modes. The light also features moonlight mode as well as beacon and SOS strobe modes. While going on nightly walks, I would set the flashlight to moonlight mode and then turn it off. Then by half-pressing the tail switch, I was able to momentarily use the flashlight in moonlight brightness.Pros:Compact and excellent build quality2000 lumensEasy to useUses 18650 battery (included)USB-C chargingCons:Low CRII recommend the SP31 V3.0 if you want a well-built, reliable flashlight with a tactical switch.

Very useful flashlight without unnecessary bells and whistles
I have owned several Sofirn flashlights and I think that they are one of the best bang-for-the-buck flashlights you can buy today. This light is becoming a favorite of mine because of several features. This is quite powerful for a light of this size, the interface is quite easy to manipulate and the quality is really nice. I own the previous version of this light as well and I like that this V3 model has more output and improved texture. The milling on the battery tube gives very nice grip without being too aggressive. It looks great too! If using it as a tactical light, I like the way you can instantly go to strobe mode by simply holding down the button by the head. It can also be a used as a signal that could be great for a cyclist to stay safe on the road. I figured out all of the functions without reading the instructions which is useful when giving this light to someone who might not be familiar with different interfaces. Sofirn once again provides a solid flashlight (with a battery included) for a very competitive price. USB 3 charging, a pocket clip and a smart design round out this package nicely.

Reliable, Bright and Built to Last
This rechargeable LED flashlight is everything I was looking for! It's incredibly bright, with multiple settings that make it perfect for everything from camping and emergencies to walking the dog at night. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time on a single charge, and I love that I don’t have to keep buying disposable batteries—just plug it in and it’s ready to go. The build quality feels solid and durable, with a comfortable grip and a compact design that fits easily in a backpack or glovebox. It’s reliable, convenient, and super bright. Definitely a must-have for any home or travel kit!

L.I.E.S. : Light It Easy, Stupid
If I am completely honest, as an owner of a Sofirn sc31t Pro, this light (sp31 v3) is quite a bit of a downgrade in many ways. It is designed with simplicity in mind, and in that, it excels. It has a tail cap button that the 31t pro does not. I love the momentary on feature of the tail cap button.I miss the ability to have the main button dimly lit at all times on the 31t pro, making it easy to find in low light/visibility, of course at the expense of some battery life. The build, fit , and finish of this light seem better than the 31t pro (but it also hasn't been used for years at this point). The knurling on the body is well done, and there are no discernable hot spots or seams. The pocket clip is well done and springy. Using the clip will leave the whole of the tail cap sticking out from your pocket, which some may feel isn't deep enough carry. The sp31 v3 is ridiculously bright, though I'm going to need higher-than-freezing temperatures to take the light out and really run it though the paces. One note is that the USB port is quite recessed, so you might be forced into using the included cord. Other cords that I already had in use for other devices would not fit deep enough. I feel this is a great value light for the money, and will be a nice piece in my collection.

good EDC flashlight
Pros:Equipped with the SST40 LED, a well-known and widely respected model, offering a great balance between power efficiency and performance.Features a constant current driver, which helps optimize battery life by providing consistent output without overdraining the power.Includes a plastic TIR lens, giving it a distinctive look compared to standard lenses. The dual switch design (side and tail) provides flexible control with access to multiple modes. It's user-friendly, eliminating complicated steps for changing modes—perfect for everyday use.Compact, solid construction with a simple black color.Cons:The "tactical" label is a bit of a misnomer. This flashlight is better suited as an EDC (Everyday Carry) option. Since it doesn't offer instant access to a strobe mode, it doesn't truly qualify as tactical. It tends to heat up too quickly at high mode.
