Worked great
I bought this to be a rain protection for an outdoor cabinet that I did up in the mountains. It has worked extremely well. I use it when we leave or there is rain and the cabinet has stayed dry. It's lightweight and inexpensive. Perfect solution to the problem I had.

Be mindful when sewing!
I may have purchased this material just recently but I have been familiar with it since I was camping with the Boy Scouts Of America in my elementary school years since 5th grade. The last time I had my hands on this fabric it was a running short I ordered in red near the end of 1991.Though my aim is currently to sew a tent right now, I think there is enough room left over to sew with it a pair of running shorts in a pinch!I also ordered this same material in black for the top portion of my tent design I got in mind. But in my experience when I used the red running shorts to go for a jog, while washing I found that the drawcord it came with from the factory ripped a good chunk of the fabric at the waist band from inside. So when sewing you will need to make sure that the stitch pattern doesn't make it prone to tears, especially when you prepare the seams for the erector rods and tubings when they are sheathed in this material as you pitch your tent on the ground.

Good but does not seem to meet specs
If you're shopping for this type of fabric you probably already know about the website that sells ripstop by the roll (or by the yard), and you know this is much cheaper, but you may also be concerned about quality, especially given the other review stating lack of waterproofness. I was too, but figured I'd give it a shot.Regarding weight. It should be 15.212m square, and at 48gsm weigh 586g. It actually weighs 735g which is 60.2gsm or 2.2oz-sm.Regarding size, the fabric is indeed 60" wide but has the selvedge still, so only 58ish inches are useable.Regarding waterproofness, as you can see from the high tech test device, I was able to simulate rough 100mmh2o. After 2.5 hours, there were a few drops that penetrated the fabric and the fabric had "wetted out" which I also tried to capture in the last photo. If I were using this to make a backpack cover, I'd feel confident that it could keep water out (this is my reason for purchase), but I would not use this as a ground sheet for a tent that I expected to use in the rain.I think this fabric would be great for a test project, and you could make something that lasted quite a while, giving enough time to really refine a design before making it out of more costly material. In any case, I'd recommend some DWR spray to increase repellant capacity. All in all, I believe that it's short term performance is reasonable, and that it is good for the weight and price (half that of a higher quality alternative) but can't give five stars because it doesn'tmeet the published manufacturer specs. As a final note, the performance I experienced matches the pergola review, so that's good for consistency!

Good but not great
Only complaint about this product is that the edges were not sewn and tended to frill and unravel. Once I folded the edges, glued and installed strategic grommets, the screen worked as needed.

Good and bad
The colours are amazing and top teir. the material however tears really easy and everything i made out of it only lasted a week or two. Will not buy again. Two stars for the colour.
