Mini Shapes
They are small, but there are enough to share with multiple groups of students to observe. Once a base is removed, however, I couldn’t get it to stay on. They are adequate for their purpose: to identify and define 3D shapes. They are more durable than foam shapes, also.

Shapes, shapes, and more shapes!
OMG, this set is amazing! The tiny plastic shapes are so colorful and cute that there's no way this kind of hands-on manipulative isn't keeping students 100% engaged! Everything is very sturdy and well-built. The transparent colored plastic is also great for exploring on a light board. The cards are all laminated so kids can repeatedly write on them with dry-erase markers. I love that everything easily fits into the plastic tub it comes in (with some kits, it barely fits back in after you open it).The best part is that each piece opens up so kids can explore volume, too, with kinetic sand, water, or even colored water so they can explore secondary and tertiary colors. You have to use something sharp to open them; my fingernail wasn't working at all so I had to use a small sharp knife. The round ones (sphere, cylinder, cone, and semi-sphere) were the hardest to open as the knife kept slipping off the round surface, while the flat-sided ones popped open easily with the knife. The triangular pyramid was also difficult just because it's so tiny. Needless to say, younger students will not be getting these open independently, so an activity in which you need the shapes to be open is better suited for older students, or serve them up without the lids. The cards are also full of great activities, although there are no directions on how to play. I'm an experienced educator so I have no problem figuring them out, but a new teacher or a mom wanting to do educational games at home might find it challenging to know what to do with them. There are 4 different bingo cards so you can play with 4 kids at a time.I appreciate the completeness of this kit for up to 10 students at a time and the variety of activities/real-world examples to help kids learn about 3-D shapes vs 2-D shapes. My one complaint is that it only comes with 2 spinners (a big 1 for the circle spinner and a little 1 for the corner of the cards that need a spinner for that game). It's too much of a pain to switch it out every time, so I'll be looking for another set of spinners on Amazon. Not a deal breaker by any means. With such solid little structures, this will be getting a lot of use from 4K all the way up to 8th grade! I HIGHLY recommend it!

What a great kit...!
I really LIKE this kit! First of all, the included storage. I'm a big fan of storage solutions included with your item(s). This little bin that comes with this is a great shape and size and fits everything in it well. The included lid also fits tightly on the bin.The many included shapes are also good quality, and the shapes hold together well. But. They're also in many different colors, too! I'm really happy with them. Included also in the kit is a little poster that tells you more about the various items, and laminated cards to play various games with them, too. If it was supposed to come with further instructions for games to play and such, I did not get them in my kit.Geometric manipulatives like this could potentially really help in a classroom for various skills such as:Nets and Spatial Reasoning: Geometric-solid models can be used to teach nets or spatial reasoning, allowing students to visualize and understand the relationships between 3D shapes and their 2D representations.3D Shape Building: Manipulatives such as geometric shapes building sets, toothpicks, and play clay can be used to introduce and discuss 3D shapes, enabling students to create multi-dimensional shapes and explore their properties.Surface Area and Volume: Geometric solids can be used to teach surface area and volume calculations, providing students with hands-on models to experiment with and understand these concepts.Measurement: Manipulatives can be employed to teach measurement skills, such as comparing and ordering 3D shapes based on their surface area and volume.Hands-on Geometry Lessons: Geometric solids and manipulatives can be incorporated into various geometry lessons to provide students with a visual and interactive experience, making learning more engaging and fun. These could help to learn all of those shape names that are less commonly used in daily life descriptions! There is a lot of potential for geometric solids and manipulatives to enhance teaching and learning in geometry, particularly in areas such as spatial reasoning, 3D shape understanding, and measurement.Overall, everything in this kit seems to be a good quality and is easily stored. LOVE the colors on these, and my kids personally really appreciate having manipulatives in hand when we discuss these things. I try to vary the textures and types of learning in our classroom, so this fits the bill nicely! (And, I think at the current price they're a pretty good deal, too.) Recommend.

Plenty of tiny 3D shapes for several kids to play at once.
These tiny shapes are fun and durable with many colors to choose from. Even after being dropped several times, and coming apart, they snap right back together. We haven’t had any shapes break yet, but they do come apart easier once they’ve been split apart the first time. The shapes themselves are what makes this set worth purchasing, but it comes with several extra goodies and everything fits right into the tub that is included. There are information cards and games for extra learning fun. The only downside is that there is only one small and one large spinner for the games that require them. This means they cannot be played at the same time unless more spinners are purchased. The cards are all double sided as well and there are some games that have a different game on its flip side. All in all, this is a great classroom set. Two of these sets would be ideal in order to supply a set of shapes to each student and they would probably still all fit in one tub.
