I’ve always regarded Coast lights as high quality, and this headlamp is no exception. It’s very bright, offers a wide range of functions and colors, and the voice control feature is awesome! It offers flood and spot with the white light , and also offers red, green, and blue light options. It also has a reflective flashing read light on the battery pack, which is positioned behind your head, and can be turned on and off. Its adjustable head strap is comfortable, and the angle of the headlamp is adjustable to multiple positions, making it a very versatile headlamp. I really appreciate that it has a replaceable rechargeable battery and that it uses USB-C for charging. I can’t speak to it’s durability, as I haven’t owned it long and haven’t dropped it or anything yet, but like all of the Coast products I’ve owned in the past, it feels very durable and well made.Perhaps one of its best features is the light can be turned on and off, and change modes and colors, completely hands free, using simple voice commands. I was skeptical at how well this feature would work, but it works amazingly well. You simply turn on the voice control feature by pressing a button on the bottom of the headlamp, and then issue various commands prompted by “Coast.” You can say, Coast On, Coast Off, Coast Flood, Coast Spot, Coast Red, Coast Green, and Coast Blue, and it instantly responds with the respective setting. It’s a truly remarkable feature that is incredibly useful. You can use it with your hands full, while riding a bike, climbing, working on your vehicle, or anywhere you need a truly hands free light. You don’t have to yell or even speak loudly for the commands to register, and there is no voice programming required. It will respond to any voice issuing the command.If you’re in the market for a headlamp, or if you just stumbled across this product, buy it! You won’t regret it!

This headlight is probably one of my best purchases yet. I can't tell you how many times I have used it in my daily work. It's super convenient to hit the voice command button and not have to worry about getting fluids on my headlight or face from trying to turn it on or off. It has many options, which I think are great to have.The light also charges relatively quickly. Battery life is great. I don't use it for hours on end, just for a few minutes at a time, but it lasts me several days. The removable battery is great because you can also charge the battery outside of the headlamp, giving you the option of swapping around 2 batteries to keep your headlight working 24/7.The headlight is a great price for what you get. I was surprised how many features it came with at a sub-$100 price point. The headband is adjustable for comfort and won't slip off your head. Most of the time I don't even notice it's there, it's relatively light. Highly recommend for anyone who needs to see in low light and use both your hands!!

Just received my Coast RL35R about a week ago. Probably the most impressive headlamp I have ever owned!It has many different modes and intensities of lighting, seems fairly lightweight and well made. The removable 18650 battery is a very nice feature. If you don't have time to recharge the battery, just pop in another charged one!The voice control is extremely unique! It seems like it would be a gimmick, but it works surprisingly well. This feature alone creates a truly hands-free experience.Highly recommended to the point that I will more than likely purchase a few more for myself or others just because I'm so impressed!

I have quite a few flashlights/headlights. This being voice control, I had to get it. It's awesome. You can use it in the voice command or manual mode. It can adjust brightness levels either way using voice or manual. Comes with an extension cable so you can attach the battery portion to your belt. The back has a flashing or solid red that has its own on/off button. Usb-c charging the battery in or out of the unit. Its got a little weight to it but pretty comfortable. I have used it all day working. Lamp head tilts almost 90⁰. Voice works by saying "coast" then a command, such as on/off, red, blue, green, spot, flood, arc, maximum, minimum. Even in somewhat noisy conditions. It's a little pricey but I think with all that it does it hits the price point.

voice commands worked well. if you have a larger head like mine, it barely expands to fit my head, especially with a hat of some sort on. Slightly heavy, because of the rechargeable battery.

Headlamp is great. Functions exactly as advertised. Prior to purchase was a bit skeptical about the voice commands practicality. Skepticism entirely unwarranted. Voice commands perfect, very easy to use w/o any need for command repetition. Lamp on a hinge allowing for helpful tilt of beam. After several months of use hinge became loose w/o means of tightening. Contacted COAST, discribed failure, provided the requested photo of product. They're sending replacement to me, I payed postage. No other issues at all with the light. It's by far the most versatile headlamp in my collection. Highly recommended.

Love this headlight, use it when I'm at work or when I'm cooking at night on my pit. It comes in handy when I need to use the voice activation to turn on and off when my hands are full.

This product really does what it states. It is a hands free headset... so you use a voice command to turn it on and change to different lighting options. great for walking dogs at night, for working with 2 hands, where you just tell the light to go on, rather than needing to use a hand to turn it on. Just a great product!It is rechargeable and also has a battery backup (you must buy the 2 small back up batteries, available where they sell basic batteries.).The back of the headband has a blinking red light safety feature, so if you are walking at night, you can be seen from the back.I highly recommend this!
