Computer is nice, but keeps turning off (see 11/29 update)
**Previous Review (see below for updated 11/29 review)The image quality and speed is great, and the computer is nice and small that it fits even on the smallest desks, however, it randomly turns off. I have tried several things to make it stop and it keeps happening. Reached out to support and they said it has something to do with the software (whatever that means). Returning things is a hassle to me, so I kept it because I still think it’s pretty good for the price. I gave it a 3 because it’d be turning off when I’m in the middle of something and it does NOT let me save my work once it shuts off. It happens out of the blue without warning, so unless you have onedrive or you’re using Google sheets, make sure to keep hitting CTL+S every 30 seconds just in case so you don’t lose your work.***************************************************************11/29 Update**As I mentioned above, the computer speed and quality was great, but it keep shutting off for whatever reason. I had given up on reaching out to support because the instructions were confusing and I still felt like the computer was great for the price. Recently, the seller reached out to me to personally offer solutions to the problem above and after some communication, they asked me for options as to how they could make it right for me. Bear in mind, at this point I was no longer eligible for a refund from Amazon so I was not very hopeful. Still, the seller offered to replace the computer and send a new one at no extra cost, offer a partial refund, come up with a suggestion that’d make me satisfied, etc. I ended up picking what worked best for me and within a few days my issue had been fixed. I had given this a 3/5 initially because of the tech issues, but the customer service was superb so I’m changing my review to 5/5 because of the attentiveness and commitment to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations. I would 100% recommend this seller.

Powerful mini
Really nice. Hard to believe that PC's with this much power can be so small. Had some issues with initial setup but figured it out with their web support. I used this to replace my MSI p100 which was great but it acted like a space heater. This little guy can do everything MSI could with about 600 less watts.

Great Customer Service!
New Update:The new computer barely makes any noise, it is much quieter than the first one I received that died. I now think there must have been a defect with the original, because the one I have now is almost completely silent.New Update:I contacted the company, and they responded by e-mail in about a day. We e-mailed back and forth a few times over the course of several days. I sent them a video showing that my computer was not turning and not lighting up, even though it was plugged in, and they said if I sent mine to an address in CA, they would send me a new one as soon as they received the tracking number on my return - meaning they did not need to wait to receive it, just confirmation I had sent it back. As promised, I received a brand new computer about 2 days later. Excellent customer service!! I am very satisfied.Update:Died after about 55 days. Computer just suddenly shut off one day, never to power back up again. I will see what, if anything, the company does about it.Original Review:I am happy with this purchase, overall. The computer is lightening quick and super small. Excellent performance for the money. I use it for occasional internet browsing. On the down side, it is the loudest computer I have ever owned, and sounds like a little jet engine - the fan is continuously spooling up and down. I will probably move it under my desk and put some books around it or something. I would still recommend it.... just be prepared for the mini jet engine noise...

Great NUC Footprint
I've owned computers and laptops for more than 30 years in various footprints, including early iterations of the NUC.I was in the market for another computer, in this case as replacement for a laptop that was primarily used as a desktop, attached to a large monitor.Since I don't travel very much anymore, I don't have a compelling need for a laptop, particularly as I can do most everything through phone apps.I had been looking at the GEEKCOM for quite a while, having been impressed by the features, reviews and price points. I also liked that there was a slot for an additional HDD. However, I was frustrated at how difficult it was to get a 2 TB SSD/32 GB configuration. through their own website and how lengthy was the backorder time. That is, until I looked at Amazon, where the product was readily available at the same price.I received my unit within a couple of days and immediately installed the additional hard drive from my old laptop after removing its operating system. That process was simple and certainly far more simple than having to do upgrades on most every laptop I've owned.I do recommend adding the second hard drive as you can preserve space on the SSD and use it to house your apps, while storing files on the HDD. In that manner there would be minimal degradation of speed in executing apps, loading up the operating system, etc.The GEEKCOM was very simple to set up and very easy to reload applications. It has lots of ports, very quiet operation, takes up virtually no desk space and really is quite fast, although I don't use it for gaming, even as I do image rendering.I'm toying with the idea of adding a portable power supply and monitor as I might consider using it as a laptop replacement on trips. The unit is now about 2 months old and has probably been the lowest maintenance computer I've ever owned.
