Great little saw. Good value.
I’ve been wanting a reciprocating saw for ages, so I was really happy to order this one. I liked the idea that the saw could be ordered to work with different batteries. I have a DeWalt Max drill and two batteries for it, so ordered the saw that’s compatible with 20V DeWalt batteries and it works flawlessly with them. I like having multiple power tools that all work with the same batteries. I always have one charging so it’s great to grab it and go to work.I’ve tried cutting metal and wood with the appropriate blades and the saw performs very well for a light duty saw. The four steel blades included with this tool (two for metal and two for wood) are good enough quality to get you started. You may need to buy more durable bi-metal or carbide tipped blades for wood with nails or other tougher materials. Overall, It’s a great little saw and I’m very happy with it.On a side note, the gloves that come with it are really small and didn’t come anywhere near to going on my hands. I had three friends (all men) try them on and they didn’t fit any of them. If you want to have a pair of gloves to wear while you use the saw, you might need to order another pair in your size.

Works Like A Champ!!
I recently added a Cordless Reciprocating Saw to my tool collection, and it has quickly become an indispensable asset. Here’s my detailed review:Compatibility:My Dewalt 20V batteries fit and work perfectly with this tool, providing great convenience and compatibility with my existing tools.Included Blades:The saw comes with 4 blades: 2 for wood and 2 for metal, which cover most of my cutting needs right out of the box.Ease of Use:Changing blades is a breeze thanks to the tool-free mechanism, and the blades are securely held in place during use.The saw efficiently cuts through 2x4's, making quick work of my projects without any hassle.Performance:The battery-powered design offers excellent portability and freedom from cords, which is especially useful for on-site work or when power outlets are not readily available.Overall, I love having a battery-powered saws-all that works seamlessly with my Dewalt batteries. This Cordless Reciprocating Saw is powerful, easy to use, and incredibly convenient. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and versatile cutting tool.

Not bad!
First things first, the blades included here are garbage, but you should just assume that with almost any reciprocating saw. They're just not great for much, so it should be the first thing you replace.Getting past that, the device works well! I slapped a spare dewalt battery on this saw and headed into the back yard to give it a shot. The feel in the hand is nice, and it's well balanced with a larger battery on the base. The mechanism to add and remove the blades is different than I'm used to, there's a barrel that twists to accept and remove the blade from a slot, but it works fine - it's just different. The safety is less safe than I'm used to - it's not a safety at all, it's a trigger lock that will block or unblock the trigger itself. This is far less safe than a two-stage trigger that is used on most quality equipment, but if you know what you're doing you can look past this issue. In practice, the gun is a little odd - the first pull on the trigger doesn't always start it, but after using it a bit, I'm realizing that I think the saw "goes to sleep" after a period, so pulling the trigger twice does seem to wake it up and start the blade. On the base by the battery, there is a button that shows you the battery life as well as the current speed of the saw - slow, medium, or high.As I said, the blades are sure to disappoint and they did - struggling to make it through a 1" tree branch, but the saw certainly tried it's best to yank my hand back and forth once the blade became bound up in the wood.Replacing the blades with some quality carbide blades should help a lot.Overall, a nice unit!

HOW did I live without this before? Dad's got a new toy!
I'm SO happy I ordered this YAWV Cordless Reciprocating Saw!I'm so glad I can leverage my investment in Dewalt batteries that for such a low price, I can add to my cordless tool collection with such a handy tool! There was ZERO problem inserting a Dewalt battery into it and it worked just as I expected it to.I'm crazy about it taking STANDARD reciprocating saw blades AND without needing any special tool to change them - just as you would have expected to.I was very happy that the unit boasts three speed settings.I tried it using both a 2.0 Dewalt factory battery as well as a 7.0 knock off battery - NO PROBLEMS!It's not a real "demo" tool for all day use, but when I just want to make that ONE cut without making a fuss - this baby is now my "go-to"!A good product at a good price!

Excellent tool at a fantastic price
I have a mostly complete set of Makita tools and batteries. The tools are first generation, the batteries are first, second and third generation. The batteries are backwards compatible. The first thing I did with this tool was to test compatibility. It fit both my OEM and aftermarket Makita batteries perfectly, worked very smoothly, and my Makita and Irwin 6" and 9" blades all fit this reciprocating saw. Were it not for the missing logo- you could not tell this from the OEM. However, in one respect- this is better than my OEM. it is brushless, and my OEM first generation tools are not.So, full compatibility with batteries and saw blades, and an incredible price point make this a five star reciprocating saw. i recommend it highly

Works good
This is basically a small sawzall using the same blades. The tool works great with a Milwaukee battery and has an adjustable speed control. The blades that come with it are bottom of the barrel and almost useless. I don’t need this type saw often but it’s nice to have when I need it and better than a large heavy sawzall for most projects.
