After I looked around a bit, I decided to take a chance on this product and I'm happy I did. It's easy to put together and is a really great height. It's not heavy but not flimsy either. The light charged fairly quickly and the modes are all distinct. It's a pretty good buy. Particularly, it holds my Samsung Galaxy S23 while in its case. That's what I was worried about the most. I look forward to using it.

The arm just sits in the base. So, if you want to pick it up to move it anywhere, you best use two hands and carry each part separately. Seems a huge fundamental mistake not to have a way to secure the two parts together. Otherwise, okay.

The phone holder is hinged, so it's possible to tilt the light so it's off-center and still aim the phone at the subject, however, the hinge has no adjustable tension and will not hold my phone in place. I had to resort to jamming a wad of rolled up bubble-wrap between the phone and the light to get the phone to stay up while the light was tilted slightly away.

phone mount with the light was a little clunky at first but once I figured out how it moves and swivels it is very nice. Extra swivel mount that came with the system helps a lot with adjustments. This is not a tripod as listed but a heavy steal plate with a single leg that comes in 2 sections and can be used with both or with only one section for shorter work. The moving arm is set up with springs like desk lamps from years ago but it works and does not rely on friction to hold the weight on the end of the arm. With the light at the same level as the phone/camera, there are no shadows and the light is dimmable as well as changing from soft to bright white.

I needed something that would allow me to position my phone directly above laptops/computers in order to create repair videos, and a simple tripod wasn't quite cutting it. This allows me to have the phone at an over head shot, very close to the components, so it fits my use case perfectly!
