This 10 gig SFP+ transceiver is pretty much plug and play with switches and networking gear that I have, and also works in most of the SFP+ network cards and operating systems I have tried to use it with. I do have some cheaper cards paired with some OS's that didn't recognize it but that's to be expected I guess. For the price, this is a great multi-mode LC ethernet transceiver and gets very close to 10g speeds. It's great for connecting switches or devices between long runs that would be too long for cat6. If you have a run over 100 feet you should probably start looking at fiber, but work great in shorter runs too. For the price you really can't beat this 10G SFP+ transceiver.

this is just what I was lookin for. it is great quality and easy to set up. the connectivity is what I was hoping for. very pleased

I have a couple of rack switches that I've never taken advantage of the optical connections. I came across this transceiver and figured it was time to connect to the existing transceiver in the other switch. Plugged everything in and good to go. I'm redoing my networking so I haven't done a real test, but it was a simple change and it's doing it's job so I'm happy.

I'm rearranging my network to move my NAS from 1Gb to 10Gb. I plugged this into my Netgear switch, it lit up, fiber plugged in, and wompwomp.... no connection. All settings were good, I reseated the SFP's a few times, and no go.I had a 1-Star review typed up and ready to post but remembered to practice the KISS method. I sourced a new jumper, swapped them out, and we're cooking with the 10Gb goodness.

I have a few devices from this brand, and every one of them has been exactly as described. Speeds are 10gbps, which is practically magic-fast for any home networking use.
