Perfect Solution
Was looking for a spectrum analyzer that wouldn’t break the budget, received this within two days, plugged it into the recording out on my receiver and into the spectrum analyzer and it works perfectly no issues since I purchased a few months ago

You get what you pay for
This unit works, but it's basically what you pay for. I have it hooked up to my stereo and when I turn the on switch even if it has been plugged in for a while sometimes it just won't turn on, so you need to turn it off for a few seconds and then on again. I tried plugging my subwoofer's line input to the output from the bypass out port on this thing and it somehow generated 60hz humming on my whole system. It wasn't too loud, but it was noticeable. I think the cheap circuitry on the inside of this thing could be the source. (Solution: Don't plug anything into the bypass out of this thing, even though it's a "bypass" technically there are grounding issues, simply plug your AVR's center or pre out to the input of this thing)Visuals/Display:When it works, this thing is pretty cool. It has tons of modes and works as advertised. The colors are pretty bright and it's pretty responsive. One thing to note: This thing has a very small window of detection in terms of decibels. What I mean by this is the difference between the quietest sound needed to activate the LEDs and the loudest sound is not very significant. And this difference doesn't change based on the gain setting, nor is it adjustable. So either I have it calibrated to work when I am blasting music or when I'm casually listening, no in between. Basically what I am saying is if I have the gain setting on the display high and I'm casually listening at a lower volume, it works great, but as soon as I want to crank it, it just fills all of the LEDS, and I need to adjust the display gain to compensate for this. At the same time, if I calibrate the display gain for listening at high volume, then when I listen at a lower volume, barely ANY LEDs light up. This is my one issue with the unit. If it had a higher dynamic range detection or adjustable dynamic range that would be great but I couldn't find a way to make it work. This essentially means that it's not really calibrated. If you leave the settings the same it will light up at a consistent volume, but that volume level you set it to is NOT calibrated to anything. Nor does it tell you the difference in volume from each LED upwards. The colors were surprisingly bright though and it honestly looks insane on my stereo.Still though, it looks sick and honestly for $100 I wasn't expecting anything else. But you should be aware at least before buying it. Since no one mentioned this specific issue.TLDR: If you just want a cool looking display and don't really give a f about it being calibrated or seriously being used to monitor audio signals like in a studio setting than this thing will absolutely do what you're looking for. But again don't expect the best in quality, and don't use the output on this thing. (bypass circuitry is not good.)

Unfortunately, mine would only barely respond to the music...
I have still given it four stars though, because everything else worked great and I was able to return it with no problem. And that's not why I took off a star either. The reason that I did is because it's mentioned that it has Bluetooth yet, there isn't anything that says how to put it in pairing mode, and nothing that says what the device would show up as when pairing it.

Super cool
Love that I can see the music as well as hear it now!

Was great while it lasted
This has a beautiful display with many settings for different light sequences but unfortunately it did not last long, now it will not turn on at all.
