Portable ac
Nice and cool. After about a year use it starts to leak water so I had to use a bucket to catch the water.. packages doesn’t say anything about using a hose to drain water.. but it is needed

Not a real air conditioner
I was really excited for this to work, especially given all the seemingly positive reviews here but those must be either bots or shills because I have not experienced anywhere near the cooling being talked about. The other low star review called this an overpriced fan and sadly that’s what it appears to be. The only way you’ll feel any cooling is if you’re sitting right in front of this thing. The cooling function barely generates more cold air than the regular fan function and the ice packs barely help either. I just moved into a new apartment and ran this cooler in my room all-night. When I awoke and stepped into the living room…the living room was cooler than my bedroom…It’s entirely possible that perhaps the humidity in NYC reduces the evaporative cooling method of this device however, even if that were true, the manufacturer should have some kind of disclaimer label about this products efficacy in those conditions.Once again, Incredibly disappointed. Should have just spent the extra $100 and gotten a real window unit AC….

Overpriced fan
It does cool but about as much as a fan would. The filter on the back that the water runs through to evaporate and cool is plastic so it doesn’t evaporate much there’s not enough surface area, actual swamp coolers use fabric. You maybe get a 2-5 degree difference if that but a lot of that is just because air is moving I got it cuz my A/C went out and I wanted to cool my room so I thought it might work but no if your looking for something to cool anything it’s not here. But if you wanna spend $180 on a fan go for it!

It's ok
No matter how much ice or cold water or the ice bricks, it really doesn't blow out cold air. It gets a little chilled air

Excellent choice for air conditioning
This air conditioning unit helped us get through a difficult period when our central air conditioning went out in our condo. It actually kept us comfortable during the two weeks we were suffering. I am very happy with this unit.

Does not work.........................
I read the instruvtions first. I let the ice packs freeze overnight. The next morning I plugged it in to several outlets, ones I run power tools from. This product only pulls 65 watts. There was a note in there if there was a problem to call the 800 number instead of contacting Amazon, which I did. I was told it must have damaged in the warehouse or shipping and they didn't need me to return it. That they would contact me in 1-2 days to tell me the refund would be done. I called Tuesday, the 27th morning. And still have not heard from them about my refund. Very disappointing.

Cools enough
Cools enough for a small space but not like a refrigerated air unit. More like a cooler fan

Wish I would have seen the review before this.
Have a guest room that gets warm in the afternoons and wanted something for guests to use to cool it more than the ceiling fan. This is a $200 fan. Even with the ice packs and only running for 4pm-7pm it changes by maybe one degree in the direct path of it. Pay more and get the air conditioning unit or pay less and buy a fan.
