Excellent choice for beginners or budget fishing folks!
I purchased this reel as my first real bait caster. I had an old one from Bass Pro Shops that I received as a gift while in high school, but I could never figure out how to use it without getting bird nests every time. Well, fast forward 10 years and I started getting back into fishing again and finally learned how to use it. I quickly realized I needed to update my rod and reel, so I did a ton of research and decided to go with this KastKing Royale Legend Elite 7.3 (left handed). It's been about 6 months since I pulled the trigger and I have used this reel roughly once or twice a week. So far, it has held up great and I would absolutely recommend it to any beginners out there or folks that are on a budget. The reel is very easy to dial in and the smoothness and casting distance is excellent for the price. I love not having to open up the side plate to adjust the magnetic brakes too. I usually keep them set at 4 or 5 depending on the conditions and lures I'm throwing. Speaking of lures, this reel can easily throw your lighter soft plastics (I like to use 1/8th ounce tungsten weights with a craw or creature bait or weightless senkos), but I've also thrown 2.5oz Huddleston swimbaits with it. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend the KastKing Royale Legend Elite!

Bang for your buck!
Amazing reel for the money! This is the second baitcaster I've owned, my first was a Shakespeare Agility I got for $30 at walmart. It was a decent baitcaster to start out on and get the hang of, but I almost think this one would have been better to start with. With the Shakespeare I had to use heavy baits, anything too light would give me a backlash almost every time. With this reel though, it's so smooth and the brakes are so much better, I have much more control and with quick and easy adjustments I can cast the lightest baits I have with no problems. And this thing casts miles. I have the reel just about full of line (granted it's cheap and pretty thick braid, upgrading that in a few days) but I can almost cast far enough to run out of line with heavier baits. I've taken this reel out several times so far and I have no complaints at all. If you're looking for a quality baitcaster but don't want to spend a couple hundred bucks, get this one, you won't be disappointed.

Good product.
I read on a review that the real does not wind the line evenly and the response was to tie the line in the middle of spool. When I received my reel I tied the line from the middle of the spool and noticed it was not going on evenly so much like a largesalt water reel I manually guided the line a little to cause it to go on evenly. The next day I out it to the test it the Florida everglades for bass and was happy to see the line laid the evenly accross the spool and is no longer an issue. The reel performed like more expensive models. Long casts on light lures even in windy conditions and still backlash free. Smooth operation in all areas. If it holds up I will buy more of this model.

Great product great price
To get a quality reel for a very reasonable price is good in my book. Not saying these are the top tier reels but I’ve yet to experience anything with them that I don’t like. The drag system is good, brakes is good, and the reeling is super smooth. I’ve caught some decent size bass on them and they’ve held up great. Paint on them is mint to they are definitely a good looking reel IMO. I’d deff recommend these whether they’ll be ur main reel or you just need some reels to fill some rods. I own a few of these and feel the same towards the elite series

This feels like a reel worth 3x the price
The TLDR: This feels like a reel worth 3x the price.I bought this reel to replace my frog setup reel. That being said, the setup is a 7’2” extra heavy rod with 65# braid throwing fairly light hollow body frogs. Throwing anything far and accurately on a shorter rod that’s basically a pool que without backlashing at least once is a challenge. Not with this reel! Prepping for frog fishing season I took my setup with the new reel out today, which was a really windy day to set up the tension and brakes. Not only did I consistently spool myself just from casting, I did it in a headwind, and without backlashing at all!The reel feels smooth on the cast and retrieve, the tension and brake settings are solid and stay set all day. The construction is well built and the body of this reel feels rock solid. It’s not the lightest reel, but it feels like it will last for years! For the price it’s also a good starter bait caster.

As Smooth as My Daiwa Tatula SV But Under Half the Cost
My KastKing Royale Legend Elite reel is one of the best reels I own and I'd put it up against the big names out there any day. It casts as far as my Tatula, reels as smooth if not smoother, and cost less than half what I paid for the Daiwa. I couldn't be more happier with the reel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody who wants a quality reel. I have the KastKing 12# braided line on it and can cast a 1/4oz lure maybe 100' without strong-arming the rod. Opening it up inside you'll find everything to be comparable to the big name reels too. Their warranty and customer support is hard to beat as well. Give them a try and you too might be in disbelief. Quality gear at an affordable price.

WOW. What a find!
This is the sweetest reel for the money that I have found in over 50 years of fishing. Easy to fine tune both the main reel tension and the magnetic anti backlash. I have never casted farther with any other “expensive” reel and believe me I’ve used quite a few. Bought three more KastKing models and love every one of them whether I’m using mono or braid 6’ or 7.5’ rods. They all perform great.
