The honey extractor arrived in a box that was severely damaged… torn cardboard, holes and dents. I carefully unpackaged everything, the legs to the extractor seemed as though they should have been zip tied together, but all the zip ties were cut and they were loose in the box. This caused damage to not only the legs themselves, but the drum of the extractor too. I contacted BeeTech customer service, and they promptly replied to my email, offering solutions. I decided I didn’t want to keep the honey extractor with the amount of damage it had sustained in shipping, so they quickly processed a refund to my account. I was disappointed that the shipping had damaged the honey extractor, but very pleased with the customer service experience. Nico was the representative that I was in contact with, and he was very helpful and friendly. I will purchase more products from this company in the future after the positive experience I had with their customer support. I feel confident if there is an issue, they will work to resolve it.

We’ve been renting a hand crank honey extractor from the local honey bee association. We just bought this electric extractor because it just took up too much time trying to schedule a time when the associations extractor was available and then the time to go get it and take it back. Anyway, we just used it and it’s awesome…..no more cranking. Not only is the electric extractor so much easier to use but it comes with a storage cover to help keep it clean during storage.

I purchased this as my apiary is growing and extracting 2 frames at a time was not going to cut it. The price on this extractor was hard to pass up. We successfully extracted 300 frames over a weekend with no issues. The extractor can process 12 frames at a time but we found using just the 8 radial locations to best suit our needs and it avoids the need to rotate the frames to extract both sides. Just be sure to do your best to place similar weight frames directly across from each other and be prepared to bolt it down as any unbalance causes it to shake and move around. We were successful just going slow and holding it in place but it will need to be mounted in the future for best results.
