The lock integrates an electronic keypad, auto-lock functionality with an adjustable timer, and a fingerprint scanner, which makes securing my home both convenient and efficient. One of my favorite features is the anti-peeping password, which provides an added layer of security by preventing anyone nearby from seeing the code as it’s entered.This smart lock is designed for both right- and left-handed doors, offering great flexibility during installation. Speaking of installation, it was incredibly straightforward. It took me only about 15 minutes to remove my old lock and replace it with this one. The lock has a beautiful satin nickel finish that perfectly complements the look of my door.The lock also comes with two small keys as a backup option. However, I discovered that stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s didn’t carry the exact size for key duplication, so I recommend visiting a locksmith if you need additional keys made.This lock is outstanding in terms of functionality, design, and ease of use. The media could not be loaded. I've been using this electronic deadbolt for 2 weeks now on my side door and I'm SO impressed. Here's some of the most impressive features:1. You can lock it manually from the outside by simply holding the lock button.2. You can unlock the door with a fingerprint, a PIN, or a supplied backup key. You can see in the video that my index finger was not programmed, so it failed. Then when I used my thumb which was programmed, it opened.3. It takes readily available and inexpensive AA batteries. Bonus, if they ever go dead and you're locked out, you can plug in a usb-c cord connected to a battery pack to give it enough juice to get you inside.4. Everything you do from the outside has a voice prompt, for instance: "fingerprint accepted", "fingerprint denied", "locked", "unlocked" and more. This is VERY useful when programming functions.5. I think my favorite feature is the auto-lock. I can go out the door and it will lock itself after your chosen timeframe. I have mine set for 20 seconds.6. It has a peepless keycode option that lets you enter fake numbers before and after your real pin, so peepers can't tell which part of the code is the legit part. Bonus, the keypad locks out scumbags after 5 invalid attempts.7. I haven't tried the one-time code yet, but apparently you can put in a code that can only be used once in case of emergency. So, if my neighbor called to borrow a tool, I could give him the pre-programmed one-time code, so he can only get in once and it's expired. THAT IS SO COOL!I was going to post pics of the install, but frankly it was so easy it seemed pointless. Then only tool needed was a phillips screwdriver. I didn't want to use the lever handles because I wanted to be able lock the knob too, so that's why you don't see the lever handles in the pics.I have a different deadbolt on my front door (no fingerprints) and I loved it until I got this one. Now I hate the old one and plan to buy another one of these for the front door soon.This AkaGear lock is buttery smooth and the motor that turns the bolt is nearly silent. It comes with backup keys for mine and my wife's keychains, but I doubt we'll ever need them because it warns you when the battery is getting low, so you can change them.

Great feature and easy to install. I was looking for a biometric door lock so that I could leave my keys at home when I go out for runs. Programming codes is easy and you can add/delete many codes for sharing with house guests. Buttons feel sturdy and the locking pin is smooth to operate. Comes with 2 keys but I usually use the finger print reader to open the door.

Great product, this thing is a game changer for home security. I work in the AV integration/smart home industry and would always appreciate a non WiFi version of a keypad lock especially when the network cannot reach certain areas. Was installed on my back door, very easy to install. This works flawlessly and easy to use and program, just save the instruction booklet to remember settings. Rust in my photos are from the old lock. This one is better quality. Most likely will get another one for my front door since it’s so reliable. I love the convenience and peace of mind!!
