This is a finely ground cream colored material inside a clear gel cap. I take two a day and have absolutely no side effects from it. It does not have a taste or a smell, and the capsules are standard sized and easy to swallow.It arrived well sealed and the capsules are all clean without any open capsules or residue in the bottle.I can't tell you if it's working or not. I've had less brain fog overall but I've also been on the keto diet. I can't contribute my focus to either particular one because I started taking them at the same time. I do feel good about taking it because of its ability to combat oxidative stress.

I've been taking ALA for several years and this capsule is a solid product. My only complaint is that the serving size is 2 capsules. This does allow for the capsules to be smaller in size, but it means I'm typically paying more for less.

A great price but not quite right. The bottle contains 60 pills, 300 mg per capsule, but the standard dose is 600 mg. This bottle is for a 2-week supply of the standard dose..My bottle arrived without an outer seal. When I unscrewed the cap I saw remnants of foil edges. The inner-seal had already been opened. I counted the pills and 3 were missing.I reached out to Amazon CS and they were kind enough to issue me a gift card credit since this product isn't returnable.I am returning to my former brand.
