Better than original equipment
Much better panel than the original. Has access panels to service instead of having the whole panel

Much more durable than OEM
Way better than the factory felt stuff. With a little bit of modifications, I was able to get it to fit pretty easily. It definitely feels way more durable than the OEM ones. I had to make some modifications to get the holes to align, but that wasn’t really a big deal. I like that you have access panels that you can remove to easily get to certain key areas and wont have to remove the entire panel like you normally would.

And sometimes, I can install these parts myself.
It would have cost me double if I had it replaced by the Ford Dealer.

Good alternative
The good:-Rigid, and sturdy build-Has removable access panels-Fits well enoughThe things that make it 4 instead of 5 star-the bolt holes are usable but seem to be ever so slightly off(see pics), again totally usable with out much fuss.-my biggest concern is that the oem shield has like 6 or 7 air flow slots on the front of the shield. This only has 2. I don't know if that will be a problem long term. I took off one of the access panels on the front for more air flow because ford escapes are known for having poor engine cooling. For the price and considering you can remove that access panel, I'd say it's still a buy.
