I absolutely love this dish set! The color variations and handmade look and quality make this set well worth the cost! Do they stack perfectly like in the photo? No. But that's kind of the point I guess? The sides are not machine made. The plates are not absolutely flat. There are imperfections. There is a bit of unevenness. You will get that with real stoneware and if you are looking for handmade stoneware, that is something you'll have to put up with. As for the issues mentioned in other reviews about the plates not fitting in the dishwasher, you'll just have to get a bit creative with their placement or hand wash them. I have a Samsung dishwasher and I put the plates along the outer edges to fit them in no problem. They work well in microwaves also and seem to actually hold in the warmth of the food better than our old IKEA dish set, allowing our meals to stay warmer longer. Speaking of IKEA, they have a near identical set that I compared this set to and it made me love this set even more. The IKEA plates don't have an edge like these ones do which causes my utensils to slide off at each little bump of the plate. The right angle lip of these Fobenta plates ensures my utensils stay on the plates nicely during transportation. This set comes with 12 pieces, 4 each of the bowls, smaller plates and dinner size plates which normally is enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 small children. However, for holiday considerations and to ensure we had enough dishes for everyone in the future, we bought an extra set. Still costs less than some of these other stoneware sets from places like Crate & Barrel. Highly recommend this dish set! Great value and great quality.

Absolutely beautiful dinnerware, looks even better in person. Also the customer service is AMAZING. One of the bowl arrived broken (but really everything’s packed great) and they went above and beyond to fix it.

When I got my order, one of my bowls was completely shattered! I saw the little note card in the box, sent and email and they had sent a replacement SET of 4 bowls to me within days!! We truly love these dishes, they are heavy set and massive! Perfect sized.

These are STUNNING, but I have two issues with them and will be returning. First off: they do not stack unless you use the foam that comes with it and keep the salad plate inside the foam to keep it in place for the large plate. This is a real bummer. The last thing I want to do is continually rinse dishes before use because they've been in styrofoam, AND, what if we use only a dinner plate for a meal...the rando salad dish has no "home" and now the other dishes are not stacking again.Secondly, we just got a new dishwasher...the plate slats are so close together (why Bosch, WHY???) so these don't fit into the slats.It's a shame because they are really lovely. If you have a bamboo dish display rack, it would probably work really well for you.
