Surprisingly good sound
Very easy to install. Running wires and making sure that nothing is behind the drywall is the hardest part. However that is unrelated to the speaker itself. Excellent sound quality. I had a set of Infinity Interludes and while those are certainly louder, these are still very good all around speakers.

Beautiful, crisp, room-filling sound!
I wanted a behind-wall speaker for my theater/projector setup and ordered this after comparing lots of specs and reviews. I have to say, comparing against a 3 year old enclosed 4.5" Polk side speaker, and a 10 year old Denon dual 3.5" center speaker, this 255c-LS easily won. The voice is incredibly clear, it's got fantastic lows, mids and highs all by itself, and wow does this speaker fill a 20x13ft room effortlessly. The older Polk was close, but voices sounded more like someone speaking through a face mask. And the old Denon just couldn't fill the room without being overdriven and distorted.Install was easy with a jigsaw, the speaker cut guide was perfect, and even without insulation/boxing behind the speaker it sounds incredible. The grill is magnetic which makes for easy access if needed (my round ceiling polks I'm not sure the faceplates will ever come off). I've still got to paint the grill but here's pictures of the end result.

Check for electrical lines...
My project consisted of replacing the front speakers in a home theater built in 2003. Said system came with the house and, while a nice feature, was badly in need of upgrade. The front L,R, C channel speakers were 12 inches off the floor as the original set-up involved a ceiling mounted projector and a full-wall-width screen. I opted for a 75 inch UHD Samsung display and new Polk speakers at closer to ear level - on each side of the monitor and just below center. One hurdle was discovering that the wall studs were not aligned optimally for this concept. While the original system had a center speaker in the center of the wall, it was against a stud. Installing the wider Polk 255c-ls in the horizontal orientation would require it to be a few inches off-center and not perfectly aligned with the already installed and mounted TV. I decided that I was willing to deal with what was just a visual imbalance that would probably not affect the sound quality notably.I proceeded with the installation accordingly, until I found an electrical line where I needed to place the center speaker beneath the TV Note to all: make sure you use a stud finder that picks-up hot romex inside the wall. After some careful thought, I have mounted the speaker vertically in the hole where the original center speaker used to live. Which, while not ideal, was the best I was going to be able to accomplish without moving that romex.

Fantastic Center Speaker!
I was never happy with the Bose center channel speaker I had in my last house and was looking for something better to install in my new abode. Initially hesitant in ordering this speaker for my Yamaha RX-V861 center channel, I couldn’t be happier with it now that I’ve heard what it can do. Installation in the ceiling over my 70” was a breeze and the clarity is spot on no matter what the volume. Unlike the Bose which is a fully enclosed system, this one is open to the void(s) above the speaker, so I got a small roll of thin fiberglass insulation from Home Depot and fashioned an enclosure of sorts before I installed the speaker in the hole. Again, this is a fantastic sounding speaker – I’m a bit hard of hearing when it comes to high pitch sounds, but I can hear every whisper coming out of this speaker even at low volumes. I’m a happy camper.

AMAZING!
This speaker is truly amazing! The sound quality will blow you away! Very easy to install and very clean looking. Polk makes some of the best speakers hands down. I wasn't sure if I wanted the lower end RT series or the higher end LS series and I am so happy I spent a little extra for the LS.

Great for rear surround speakers. Prefer the thin bezel grill
I purchased the Polk Audio 65RT they sound very good, disappear into the wall, easy to install, Great for surround. I can tell the difference between the tweeters of the LS and RT though, but these work for where they are.. Wish Polk Audio had these in the LS version though to match the rest of my system. I am using the 265-LS fronts, 255C-LS center, and 2 pairs of 80F/X-LS for a 5.2.4 Atmos system and the 65-RT to fill the rear surround.

Awesome In-Wall center channel speaker
This product has far better quality sound over my old MB Quartz center channel speaker. I was worried about the sound quality, since it's not in an enclosure (box). Once I turned on the sound system.... It blew mind expectations. Very good product!
