Perfect
Great Honda pump. Starts first time every time. Pumps quickly and efficiently. Purchased the OEM Honda hose kit - suction is great. Almost no assembly- add gas & oil, connect hoses, get pumping!

Reliable pump
Starts first time, every time. Worth the extra cost over cheaper pumps because of its reliability. Puts out about 10,000 gallons per hour. A real workhorse.

I waited a few months to write the review and it still is working fine, in a harsh environment.
Bought an off brand last time and it didn't work for a month. This one appears to be a real Honda and has worked for six months pumping leachate (garbage juice) out of an active landfill into the sewer pipe. and it is left outside every night, it is a harsh environment that will beat up the best of pumps. It still works fine.

Honda efficiency....always!
Bought this when the Missouri River threatened to break a final levee (Summer 2019) and inundate the small town where my sister-in-law lives. Traveled from MN to MO to help them move furniture and otherwise prepare for a possible flooding. While family was still talking flooding, I began to focus on recovery and repair, focusing on things which would make that effort more effective. A flooded house needs to be pumped out before further recovery efforts can be initiated. You can either rent, borrow or buy your own pump to do the job. 46yrs of military and state preparedness taught me it's advantagous to have your own gear. So....I bought this for my family members so they didn't have to worry about it and so they could focus on more compelling matters such as employment and getting household items to higher ground! The flood danger passed without any incident, but, there's always next year and the river is still high! One thing is for sure....they won't have to worry about a pump if the water comes uninvited! We've got that covered with this pump! Smooth transaction!

Excellent pump, be sure to get a good seal on the suction side
Awesome pump, I use one of these at work and I recently bought one for home use.Be sure that the suction hose connection is a perfect seal because even a tiny leak will prevent the pump from priming. A slightly deformed end fitting can stop it from sealing. If truck-mounted, always shut off the fuel valve after use. Vibration can flood the float bowl and cause starting problems, especially if parked on a hill.Starts up best with throttle set to 1/3 as per the instructions. If you flood it, turn choke off, open throttle all the way, and pull it through a couple of times.
