Great set of knives, sturdy feeling knives with comfortable handles and well balanced.The look of the whole package is nice, fits in the kitchen well and doesn't overpower the room anymore than a normal knife block.Sharpness out of the box is excellent, gliding through veggies and meat in a way that's a breath of fresh air.With the sharpener included (actually more for honing than sharpening from completely blunt) I can't speak long term yet but after sharpening the blades after using them if it keeps functioning as well as it does I can't imagine needing any new knives for a long time.I'm not a professional chef, I'm sure you can get better knives etc but as a home cook who slices/diced to my personal tastes (usually very fine) this is doing the job great and I wish I skipped buying the cheap sets from discount stores that last a couple of weeks that then end up too blunt to chop finely, I honestly should have just bought this year's back, would certainly have saved money in the long run.My advice for anyone just starting out with your own place etc grab a set of these while on discount and your set for years to come.Note: never dishwasher knives, salts etc in the washing process damage knives straight off the bat and cause rust depending on the quality of knife in the near to long term, just don't do it - chop & rinse.

These were recomended to me by a friend. Said friend nearly lost a finger by not paying attention when using these knives and ended up in hospital nearly minus a diget. The surgeon repairing his tendon said it was the cleanest cut he'd ever seen with a kitchen utensil. Having bought them I can confirm they are deadly sharp. Dinner prep is a breeze and i've seen the chef knife reduce large cuts of tough meat and a swead to ribbons (and a grown man to tears). Their handles are weighty and feel nicely balanced when using to chop, dice or nearly remove your fingers through inattentivness and they have a stylish finish that makes you look like a professional that knows how to cook.The block is excillent for keeping the knifes sharp and most importantly your fingers safe. Like anything it takes some getting used too but i really dont feel I could go back to my old set. The scissors are excellent for trimming fat or decimating herbs if that's what you're into. Honestly some of the best knives I've used and with some care they should last a life time.If you don't know a friend to recomend them after nearly loosing a body part then let me be the one to tell you these are worth every penny. But, a word of caution, do not make my friends mistake. These aren't your cheapo, dull, kitchen tools and they will require attention when using lest you want to end up fingerless.Also don't make my mistake and under estimate them, these are professional grade tools for a domestic price tag. I didn't loose a finger by my favourite teatowel is a gonner.

We have been debating to get this product for a long time. We managed to purchase these in prime day deals at a bargain price. Very happy with the quality of the knives, they are sharp and robust. The knife block and sharpner looks a good piece of kit and useful to keep the knives sharp.The knives cannot go in the dishwasher which is slightly annoying however, I would rather keep this a good quality product than risk its performance later down the line. Hoping they last a long time!

As someone who never owned decent knives, when I bought these I was SHOCKED at how easy it cuts through things! A good example and cutting a stick of chorizo, with other knives I had to put pressure and couldn't really do thin slices, but once I tried the Ninja knives I was shocked at how easy it cut through the chorizo, and was finally able to cut really thin slices!I know it may be a bit expensive, and although I definitely recommend them 110% you can wait for them to go on discount and will feel like a bargain!
