Works well!
Bought this door for my chickens as we made them an indoor section in our garage. This door was easy to install and works well. There have been a few mornings when the door didn’t open on its own, not sure if it was due to lack of sunlight or the cold. I have not experienced issues with it closing.

Not working
I had another version of this same door.Worked great for a year and a half.Figured for the price, I might as well replace, instead of trying to investigate why it wasn’t working.Got new door. Charged it up.Will only open or close manually…. Light sensor and timer for open/close do NOT WORK.Attempting to return.Wish me luck!!!!

Programmable Chicken door
I have tried several chicken doors. The has been the most reliable and durable so far. It was not difficult to install and has work perfectly to date.

Ducks
Ducks are different from chickens. They can be trained to use a coop but don't need a coop as much as chickens do since Ducks can see in the dark, but chickens can not as well. With many predators and no pond, a coop is necessary for my ducks. This door is sturdy and predator proof as far as I can tell. I think it will keep the coop a little warmer than the previous wood ramp/door. In the morning, the ducks used to bang on the old door waiting for me to come and open it. No more banging since the door opens as soon as there is a little light outside. At night, I have more of a challenge since the door closes in the winter time much sooner than the ducks are ready to go inside. I have to go out and manually open the door, let the ducks in and then close the door. If I had chickens this would not be an issue. Ducks do not like change, so the first 2 days they were afraid of the door but they very quickly adjusted. If I could change one thing, it would be the remote. I was hoping it would work at a greater distance. But as it turns out, I don't need it anyway since the ducks are let out automatically in the morning and I have go out and check on them regardless in the evening.

Duck house door
This was easy to install as a guide was provided. Main reason for choosing this door over others was that it rolled up into a compartment rather than going up above or to the side like the automatic door on our chicken coop. This was needed as we used this one for our duck house where there wasn't enough clearance on the front or side. We also liked that it was solar powered vs our other door that uses a battery. We have ran into 2 instances over the last month where the door didn't open in the morning, but it may be I need to review what setting I have it on. All in all, great value for the $$

Controls are poor
We put this up a month or so ago. It hasn't been very good. First, to simply open it, we have to push the button 4-6 times. I have tried to follow the directions to set the feature that turns it on/off with the sun. That seems to make it open and close willy nilly throughout the day. (The instructions are unclear, at best, and I did not get any help when I emailed the seller.)Also, the mount for the solar panel snapped off the first time it snowed.I wouldn't buy this again.

Great door
This item is a great addition to our coop, especially in the winter when we don’t want to go out early in the morning or at night to close and open the
