My grandchildren took turns opening the dates and I loved sharing the importance of each figurine. When we assembled the full Nativity scene, we did storytelling about Jesus' birth!

Such a cute nativity set for kids to explore the true meaning of Christmas. We went over all the figurines and animals with our children. He loved making new arrangements of all the characters to simulate the night of Jesus' birth. It's so cute! I can’t wait to give it to my other nephews as their Christmas advent calendar this December. The figurines are very well made actually.

I like this sweet nativity set. The details are not all totally clean, and there is a bit of a rough texture issue on the snow part on the roof of the barn (see pictures). However, overall, I am very pleased with this. The pieces are resin so they are not as durable as plastic pieces, but are sturdier than ceramic pieces. I probably would not give 1 and 2-year-olds free reign with these (although I would let them play with them with me close by), but I think my 3 and 6-year-olds will do just fine.I wanted a set where the Holy Family could all fit in the stable with a little bit of room. I also wanted there to be 3 wise men, a shepherd, and an angel. This set had all of that and more.I ordered this mostly for the nativity itself, but the advent calendar is functional and fun too. The pieces are held sturdily in rigid foam and placed in their spots in a way that should allow them to be removed with little hands when their corresponding doors are opened.I am looking forward to the kids using this nativity for years to come and would order this set again.
