This review is for a Safbbcue model 7582 for the Weber Q1200. I’m super happy with this product, the cast iron griddle fits my grill perfectly and it utilizes the entire available space available. I seasoned it properly with 5 coats of avocado oil. Which is a very simple process. Heat the grill on high for 20 minutes and you’ll be at over 600 deg. F going towards 700 deg. F. Add a small amount of high temp seasoning oil of your choice and use a pair of metal tongs with a paper towel and spread the oil evenly around for an even coat. Leave it on high until it burns off and stops smoking and repeat 4-5 times. It’s a fast process and you’ll be done in no time! Then, get griddling! This size griddle on the Q1200 has plenty of room to feed 4 people or more. Then when you want to grill just swap the griddle out for the original grates. Easy peezy. Way better than a $400 plus stand alone griddle IMHO.

Love the product! Was skeptical only because I couldn’t find any reviews on it so I just pulled the trigger bought it and it was everything I wanted! Also closed the lid multiple times just and nothing happened. I noticed ppl saying if done so the fire will burn out due to lack of oxygen but in my opinion you get enough air coming in and out. Idk to some since the griddle doesn’t fit to size I kind of enjoy the little bits of gap to ensure air flows in and out properly but anywho overall awesome! Can’t wait to keep using it!

I bought this griddle for use with my Weber Q1000 Electric Grill. The griddle cooks evenly and holds the heat very well due to its weight and mass. I’ve only used the grill side of the griddle so far, and it leaves nice grill marks on meat and fish and is hot enough to sear meat. Although I have not yet used the flat side of the griddle, I am confident that it would perform in the same way.This griddle is listed as being compatible with the Weber Q1000 grill, and at first glance, it appears that the griddle fits perfectly. After removing the stock grilling grate, the griddle does, indeed, fit the same space; however, I ran into a problem when I closed the lid on the grill. There’s a metal liner on the inside of the grill lid that makes contact with the raised rim that goes around the edge of the griddle. Contact is made before the lid is completely closed and this causes the lid remains open about ½” at the front edge.This does not seem to affect the cooking that much, if at all, and I am still very happy that I purchased the griddle. Just be aware that it’s not a perfect fit.

Fits perfectly on my grill! Lots of mixed reviews on it not fitting properly. I would say they probably bought the wrong model but it looks great and works even better than the original grates! Easy to clean

Instead of purchasing a new grill, we purchased this flat iron for our Weber Q. Fits perfect! Saved a lot of money, Works great!

Greater cooking tool/options!

I will start with saying that the griddle is outstanding in quality. Fit and finish are exceptional. I purchased the size for the Weber q1200. I was skeptical at first after reading about the griddle damaging the grill and/or exploding. I have used it several times and it has performed flawlessly. I do not close the lid while cooking. Use the griddle on a clean grill to avoid flare up under the griddle. It is hard to see a flame while using the griddle. If you smell gas while cooking shut the gas off immediately.
