Have you ever noticed how sometimes manufacturers print their instructions or owner's manuals in the tiniest print available? Granted, my eyes aren't what they used to be, but it seemed to be time to try something like this Veemagni Hands Free Magnifier. This was a very good choice: small enough footprint, strong magnification, a range of illumination options, heavy base with gooseneck extension, and convenient to leave set up and ready. I love it for reading small print and my wife is now able to take up cross-stitching again by using this handy lighted magnifier. We highly recommend this item, priced at just under $30.00.

When I received the magnifier lamp, the power on/off button did not work consistently, and Amazon immediately shipped me a replacement lamp. Upon receiving the replacement lamp, I set it up and had the same problem as I did with the first unit; however, I kept switching from the USB plug-in to the AC adapter socket as I did with the first unit, and noticed the AC adapter was extremely hot, so I unplugged the adapter and plugged the USB connector into a USB port and the lamp works perfectly now. When talking to Amazon Customer service they were notifying the manufacturer of the problems. THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE LAMP BASE, MAGNIFYING LENS, AND BASE ARE EXCELLENT AND I WOULD PURCHASE THIS UNIT AGAIN.

Seems well built, heady duty. Light is bright and changes from warm to cool, really nice over all.

Very bright light, the magnifying glass is very good. The base is very sturdy.I would recommend they also make a larger one. This has many uses around the house, shop, office.

Great Magnifying Lamp that works as it should. I do wish it had a secondary magnification area for a larger magnification, but I knew it didn't when purchasing. I am using this on a desk for reading fine print, etc so portability like with a battery unit is not needed.The levels of brightness are unreal, so many options and the ability to switch from a brilliant white light to a traditional "yellow" light helps with different applications.

I wasn't sure if 10x was enough magnification but it is perfect for reading extra small print on labels and seeing slivers in a finger. The rectangular size is sufficient to accomplish the task and not take up too much room on my desk. I like the brightness controls to help with glare and the dual modes that looks to me like switching between daylight (bright white) and soft white (yellowish white). This is a good addition to my desk.

I had read other people's reviews before purchasing this magnifying light, and I am glad for the testimonies of others. I am very pleased with the brightness of this lamp, the clarity of the magnifying glass, even very clear to the edges of the glass (which others have also expressed). The price is spot on for the quality that it offers. Thank you for putting extra effort into genuine glass, and the cut of the glass, so that I can count on this lamp offering years of use.
