I really wanted to like these gate openers, but it's been much more of a headache and disappointment than it's worth. More than 50% of the time, one or both of the gate actuators will not open with on overload code on the control box despite setting the gates to operate ignoring any resistance.I have two 6' gates that are pretty lightweight and purchased the medium duty dual gate openers that are apparently good enough for 900 lbs. My gates weigh maybe 75~100lbs each. The build quality looks and feels nice, the remote feels great, the options and adjustability are really good, but if the gates can't open, what's the entire point?I've contacted customer support, they have been friendly and very responsive, but want me to hook up a spare 12V battery to the gates after the issue occurs. I don't have time to remove my truck battery at 4am to troubleshoot why the gate thinks there is too much resistance, something is obviously faulty with your product. I was told quote "After consulting with our technical team, it appears that the problem you are experiencing is likely due to the cooler weather causing the lubricants inside the motors to become viscous."This is after telling them they don't seem to operate when it's cooler out ( 40 to 50 degrees). I live in Phoenix AZ, sometimes the mornings are high 40s to low 50s. If these gate will not operate in that weather, then there is nowhere in the United States that these gates can operate properly in. It is currently 68 degrees, and the gates are not operating.I've held off writing this review for about 5 months hoping I could come to some resolution, but these gates get less reliable every day so I know now they are absolute trash. I was weary of the 'Amazon Vine Customer Review of a Free Product' and should have trusted my instincts.Save yourself time, money, and a headache and get a better quality gate.A few other gripes with these are:- The cables coming from the actuator are too short to reach the control box, especially for a dual gate setup where the control box is on the other side of the driveway.- Installation for 12V AC power is not clearly stated despite being advertised. You need a large 120v to 12V 200W or so transformer. No where in the instructions were the power requirements stated making the install take longer.

I use these for the gate at my home. Less work and for my to walk down my car and open the gate manually!!!

Not a complete set, it doesn’t come with a 120v transformer to power the unit ( the store doesn’t sell it ) ,no wire to connect the two arms together even when you select the home 120v electric service and not the solar option.It doesn’t give you the option to have both, solar and electric as a back up ( you have to use one or the other)

Update: board stopped working for smart control. Company said they couldn't find my order and wanted me to pay for it. Sent a screenshot of my order radio silence now for a week. Less than 3 .months old and the smart control that's makes this attractive has stopped working. On top of the mediocre parts that come with it, I would not recommend this product.It's OK. It's all well....wonky. The openers are solid enough, they jog a bit but not horribly. The cost for their solar is ridiculous for a $10 solar controller, $50 worth of deer feeder batteries and $35 solar panel....why are you charging $200 more? Why do your rams have no adjustment? It's use muddler clamps or weld on place and hope. I welded it. It's fine but some micro adjustments wouldn't be too hard to manufacture in and would save an insane amount of headache. Alternatively program your board to allow for opening and closing limits.It's way too easy to screw this install up if you don't know what you're doing. I was a welder for years and a general contractor so I knocked it out in a leisurely day. This isn't and easy setup and the app is hit or miss had to setup 4 times before the wifi took.

Excellent value for the price. A smart door opener that’s definitely worth recommending.

i normally dont leave reviews, especially bad ones.. however, i wanted to share my experience with this product. we had these since late 2024 and the major issue was that sometimes only one of the dual gate will open and no matter what we would, we would have to disconnect that actuator from the motherboard and connect it to a battery to open etc. And this would happen at random times and at both actuators at different times.. well, this started to happen more often on daily basis. Not to mention it would take the gate 2 to 3 times slower to open than my in-laws.. very slow. also, the app doesn't work. also, customer service is hard if not impossible to get a hold of. one of the actuator went bad in 3 mths and i tried to contact customer service and no luck 2 weeks later. i decided to replace these with a different brand gate opener and couldn't be happier.. i just lost all the money i spent on the zumi gate opener. note that this system is not idea as the motherboard is set to control the speed and stop of the actuators in lieu of the actuator having a limiter for closing and opening as others have and its much better

The product is a great price for a dual gate opener. I had it professionally installed. We connected it to low voltage transformer as noted in the instructions. It worked well for 3 weeks and then the control board went out. Now it will not work. Unfortunately , it's not easy to get in touch with their customer service. You have to leave a message - they have never called me back
