Sturdy, simple to assemble, MUST attach to wall studs
Arrives unassembled. Instructions are graphic and easy to follow. I used my own battery drill for screws (Phillips head and straight hex/Allen head, which came with the package), but torqued low so screw holes would not get stripped. All items shipped in perfect condition. Simply sort out all the parts on a large floor, label with a pencil by matching shapes, and begin. Took me about an hour. The steel wall mount bar it quite sturdy. The desk hangs on the bar. The bar is EXACTLY long enough across the desk. You will need two people to hang it.With regards to the steel bar, there are multiple slots to choose from to attach to the studs in the wall. Screws that attach the bar MUST go into studs. This desk cannot simply hang on Sheetrock or plaster walls. You will need a stud finder. My primary grumpy note is that only three screws were proceeded for stud mounting. Four would have been appropriate. No need to skimp on the mount. The only other eyebrow raiser is that the corners of the desk end in a pointed corner. Right at toddler head height. If you have a small kid around, it’s an awareness point. There is a hollow box below the table to store an electric circuit surge strip. This keeps the cording neat and efficient. It’s sturdy, suits our office needs, looks good, and makes for efficient use of a small space.

Nice, but Not a easy fix...All put together and it was an easy fit
I loved this product it is a well made computer desk and shelf system but; it has a thousand (not really) bolts and nuts to assemble. I did not expect it to have so many bolts; yet it is prefect for long sections on the computer. I wanted to find a desk that would reduce the neck strain I was having with a floor desk. And this was it to me; by positioning this shelf in relation to your personal height on the wall. You will be able to adjust it so that; your head is always being held in an upright position this is great for those of us suffering from bending our necks all these years on a computer. This item can be ergonomically a real blessing. All put together... it was an easy fit!!!At first I complained about all the nuts and bolts because; I did not think I would be able to put it together so, I never tried. But,it keep coming into my heart to try so; after about two weeks of it being on the living room floor I said ok I will try. What I learned was amazing the bolts and nuts were very funny made but; they are designed to act like to me re-bars and make the desk more solid. The bolts do not go directly into the partial boards itself; without going through in the most important areas a reinforcement nut and/or a locking system nut. Which makes the desk very sound we all know how items are that are make out of partly/mostly partial boards. I was very impressed with these specialized bolts and nuts styles. I actually by following the directions and pictures put this desk together by myself (a lady)... OK, "well... with the help of The LORD" and I enjoyed doing it very much and thought "I was thinking about paying someone fifty bucks!!" I even put the bar that the desk will hang on from the wall into the stubs in the wall--with that ally wrench thing (a wonderful tool) after stating the hole with a slush hammer (I do not own a power drill). Even the suggested height measurements were right on key. They took all the guess workout of this project for us and I learned that it was truly an easy fit and a fun project. My desk is very sturdy and I will not fear anymore trying to do; do-it-yourself projects from now on.Makeeba

5 star end results--3 star packaging, labeling and instructions
When we received this, it came in a television stand box. I thought we got the wrong piece of furniture, but upon opening the box, found it was the floating desk. Not sure if this was a form of recycling on their part or a mistake, but was not something I ever dealt with before.Wasn't too happy with the instructions given for this purchase. They aren't as detailed as most instructions are for furniture purchases these days. The biggest complaint I have is they don't label the pieces at all. Bad instructions and no labeling makes for a night of putting together a puzzle. The circular hole that the electronic cords go through, showed up broken to pieces, but we can buy one for cheap, so I wasn't going to make a big deal about that.As others recommend, you will want to reinforce this desk with more than what is given to you. My husband chose to reinforce it with different types of mending brackets for better structure (and if my daughter chose to lean on the desk a bit), and he chose to mount the desk onto a piece of wood that was mounted to studs, rather than mount the desk to the studs.Overall, this a sturdy desk (with added reinforcements of your own), really nice looking and did the purpose for which we purchased it--added much needed space to a growing young girl's room. If I added in the way it was shipped in a wrong box, a broken piece (which isn't really anyone's fault--just happens sometimes), and really poor instructions and labeling, I'd probably rate it 3 stars, but my rating is based off the purpose we purchased the desk and how happy we are with the end results.
