So far so good
I purchased a different brand heat pump for my hottub and I had to return it because of how loud it was (its fan sounded like one of those bounce house blowers, it was obnoxious)...I was pleasantly surprised that this unit was no louder than a small window a/c unit, perhaps even quieter. The fan is basically silent, the only thing you can hear is the compressor but it seems they install a sound blanket around the compressor making the unit run as quiet as possible. The heat it outputs is beyond adequate for my ~200 gallon hottub, when not in use the unit only needs to run for 25-40 minutes every 6-7 hours! When in use, it has more than enough power to keep up even with the lid removed on the coldest of nights (for my location, high 30s-low 40s)...this is exactly what I wanted becuase the original electric heater on my hottub was very weak and the water would become luke warm quickly with the jets on cover off on those cold nights and I would need to get out. The defrost mode seems to work well, only pausing heating for a minute or two to thaw out and then going right back to heating. No doubt this unit is going to save on electricity with how well it heats and how little it needs to run to keep temp on my hottub.I have only two minor gripes. 1. The app control is hit or miss, doesnt connect unless im near the unit despite being paired to my router. But again, this is minor because I dont expect the need to monitor or control my hottub unless im there in person.2. The default temperature differential was set at 4 degrees from factory. The manual provided gives zero info on how this can be changed. I.E. if its set to 104, it will let the water drop all the way to 100 before restarting to heat back up to 104. Reaching out to the seller, they were able walk me through a secret menu on the display to alter this setting. This secret menu seems to have a long list of different settings that can be adjusted. I asked the seller if they could provide data on what all these other settings do, and they seemed to not want to tell me... asking "what else do you need to adjust". This unit isnt cheap and I paid for and OWN IT. What I want is a list of what all the settings are on something that is now mine, it doesnt matter if I need to change anything else right now. All of these settings should have been outlined in the manual, i shouldnt have to pull teeth to find out what they are. The controller inside the unit looks like its made by some other company, so I might see if I can find more info on it that way. Deducting a star for this headache.Overall a great experience.

Filter Cartirdge
The replacement filters work great for my A/C pool pump. I'm pretty pleased with them and they kept the pool clean.

Works well
Used as pool heater for a rectangle pool under a roof on cement pad dimensions 9 x 15 . I have an oversized pump so it helped circulate water a bit quicker. Only compliant would be hose nipples on unit we’re not the same as pools that had O rings . Had to double clamp was not impressed besides that seems to be working great depending on how long I run my pool pump as heater / chiller doesn’t have a built in circulation pump.

Match for the 29000E filter
I have an Intex 1,000 gph external pool filter pump that I keep on standby to do extra water cleaning when needed in my hot tub. It's handy to take it out and scrub the water with it when there have been a few people in the spa and maybe replacing all the water doesn't make sense. The filter I used up till now is a 29000E made by Intex. The attached picture shows the new filter on the left with the Intex filter on the right. This filter is dimensionally the same and the actual filter fabric looks to be a bit thicker as well (pleasant surprise). I did notice that when I went to put it in the pump, it was a very tight fit. The overall size is the same but the opening on either side is slightly more snug. Thankfully it is flexible enough to fit around the opening. As long as the filter lid is on and continuously puts downward pressure on it, it will never pop out. It could be that the tighter fit allows for less water to bypass the filter (which is a good thing). So, I think this one is a win.

They fit our Bestway above ground pool filter, work fine
These filter cartridges fit our Bestway Steel Pro above ground pool filter (ours had the Krystal Clear 1000 GPH filter system) and these fit.I compared the quality to the previous filter we were using and I can't tell any difference, these are the same size so I think they should work just fine. They came packaged in shrink plastic that is easy enough to cut off and install normally. Good value and product.

As good as the one that came with our pool.
This was the same size and quality as what came with our Bestway 14ft pool. Nothing special, but it works in the budget pump that came with it. At roughly $5 ea, it's not worth the effort to try and reuse filters more than once.

Perfect fit
These are less expensive and more durable than many others. The plastic ends are heavier duty and require some twisting to get seated. A great economical option.
