We bought these before the outbreak of some severe weather in our local area. After getting fully charged, these worked perfectly once the power went out and kept us informed with the local weather radio access. A tornado touched down very close to our house and we knew ahead of time and were kept safe. We were out of power for several days and we were able to use the radio to charge our cellphones with the full charge and never had to use the backup crank. Have now purchased several more of these radios and gave them to family and friends.

I love the radio. It has a lot of great features. We had a storm come through and it was great having the weather radio. I tried to listen to a ball game but could only get it on the AM station, not the FM station . Overall great radio.

You’d think that a solar powered radio would be able to sit in the sun for a couple of hours to charge up, right? Well, it charged alright but the plastic “sticker” they have on it to tell you where the stations on the radio are, shriveled up in the sun and dried up the plastic. It bent and broke off…Our radio was literally 2 hours old and it looked like we’d had it for 20 years- the plastic was that damaged.. super disappointing and sigh.. just another piece of cr*p. Thanks again China.

This is a great item for emergencies.
