I selected the SOFTSEA Full Size Horizontal Murphy Bed because I have a slanted ceiling and thus a minimum height to work within. Of all the full sized murphy beds it required less wall height and it just fit under at the point my wall meets my ceiling . I don't like the color, and many more bolts and hinges are CLEARLY visible than in the Amazon photos. I took a risk on this product & vendor because I needed it to fit under my slanted ceiling.Assembly is a nightmare! I am reasonably handy and have built my own camper van with solar, electrical, heat, and plumbing. All potential buyers should know the assembly is comprised of 57 wood or metal major parts. To put all 57 major parts together you are given 28 different types of fastening hardware amounting to 472 screws, bolts, wood screws, washers, cam locks, cam bolts, dowels, angle brackets, L-brackets, and hinges. You will have blisters if you don't have a drill to help with all the wood screws. If you do the inventory as they recommend you need to take the 57 major parts out of the three boxes, and you have slim to no chance of getting them to fit back in the box.THE INSTRUCTIONS: They don't do a good enough job of indicating what side goes up and what side goes down. Also, it is possible you will need to use your phone camera zoom function so you can read the small print part numbers on the instructions. I was unable to get any of the URL code videos to work on my apple phone, so I was stuck using the instructions that were FAR FROM ADEQUATE. The mattress is on order, so I still don't know how well it works, but I do know I don't ever want to go through that assembly again.

The media could not be loaded. After contacting the company, and exchanging a couple emails, the company was able to solve my issues. The customer service was OITATANDINGZero stars! The directions for assembly were very poorly written and illustrated. The quality of the bed is so bad, chips in the wood, cracks, paint chips, does not fold up properly. Would send back, but too late. Spend extra and get something nice, we got what we paid for , a piece of crap furniture.

Let me say that the Murphy bed is pretty good. Looks nice and classy. It is pretty sturdy. We didn’t realize it would come in so many pieces. It took us three hours to put it together. This will take at least two people to build. Make sure it is mounted really well in the wall. We did some adjustments to make sure ours went into the studs to hold it nice and tight.Mattress is not included, ours is a 10 inch mattress and fits well. Only issue we really see is the left corner doesn’t sit nice and tight inside. It comes out just a little bit. But not so much that it is a dealbreaker for us.We had our first guest come sleep on it and they said it was comfy and sturdy.

This was an absolute pain in the ass to build. First of all, the instructions state that you’ll need handheld tools to build this. If you scan the QR code in the instructions to follow along, the folks that are building it are using industrial power tools, not something I have. The most frustrating part was the bedframe where the top and bottom portion of the frame are the exact same board number, however, one of the boards has to be at the top of the frame for the handles which it didn’t indicate anywhere in the instructions to pay attention to that. I had built out the whole frame, and when we were attaching it to the wall structure, we realized it was upside down and we had to take it all apart and rebuild it. Also, it would make more sense to attach the wall structure to the studs before you completely attach the bedframe to it. If you’d like to completely frustrate yourself and have meltdowns while building an item this is for you otherwise this is the last time I will build furniture. In the end, it works for what we need to be, but don’t frustrate yourself either hire someone to build it or buy it completely built out.
