UPDATE: I’ve had to replace this case twice now in the past year and a half. Both times I’ve had to replace it was due to the little tab/button cover over the phone power button falling off making it very difficult to power on/off my phone. I don’t really care that the gold trim on the case scuffs and scratches over time with normal wear and tear, but having the power button cover fall off twice has made me decide to look for a different phone case. I always get so many compliments on the look of this case but having it repeatedly break in the same location and in a way that reduces the functionality of my phone is a bit of a deal breaker. I love this case but wish the power button tab wasn’t so susceptible to falling off.This is a very nice looking case that I receive compliments on all the time. It’s a slim style case and the gold accent makes it look more stylish and classy than the price tag might suggest. The way you snap it together was a little weird and took a few tries to get just right. This isn’t a case that you can quickly take on and off. It seems to protect my phone well and isn’t bulky or heavy at all. It looks just like the picture. I would purchase this again.

UPDATE: After getting in touch with customer service, I was able to get a replacement case sent out to me at no extra cost. Great customer service and quick replies, shows that TORRAS really cares about customer satisfaction. Excited to get my replacement case!!!This product does what you would expect it to do - it is a slim, well designed case that fits snuggly on the iphone X. It is not the most durable or protective, but I didn't expect it to be; I ordered it because I liked how it looked, needed a case that supported wireless charging, and offered some protection as opposed to just having the iphone X with no case. I enjoyed having the case for about the first month, however one day when I was using it the button on the case for the lock screen came off when I pressed it. The rest of the case is still fine, and it has not scratched up or damaged my phone, but is super annoying to use now since I have to dig in my finger nail to hit the lock button. I loved the case when I first got it, but having the lock button fall off is an inconvenience, and I will have to change cases.Overall: Good looking case that offers moderate protection, wish I could still use it but the buttons falling off is a deal breaker.

Edit: I contacted customer service regarding the issue mentioned in the title and found below; they did a wonderful job of responding in a quick and positive manner, and even sent me a free replacement.This is a nice-looking case for sure. Easy to hold, Easy to assemble. It is incredibly thin, but so far my iPhone XS has survived one big fall with this case on. My issues stem back to the chrome bits of the case - that is the bits that go on after the main matte part. They are made of flimsy plastic so as to allow for easy install, but I think that either the plastic or finish used for these parts has a tendency to allow for scratches and chunks to be taken out of the part. It isn't noticeable yet, but I'm assuming with more and more use I will have to get a fresh new replacement.The case is also slim enough that, if you currently have a screen protector, it will extend farther out than the case does. This means that if you rest your phone face-down on a surface, the screen protector will be touching, not the case. Because of this, I've had to replace my screen protector due to scratches. It's an issue that's avoidable if you simply don't place your phone face-down, but that's a hard habit to break.This is an overall good product, held back by a cosmetic issue and my own muscle memory, at least in my situation.

The case itself is very nice. Both visuals and design are appealing and look amazing on the phone. The feel to it is slim, so it doesn’t bulk up your phone like other cases do. On the other hand, the material the case is made of is something in between silicone and plastic, and the gold part of it is just plastic. So it doesn’t entirely have a premium feel to it. Then again, it isn’t a premium case, so that shouldn’t be a factor. A side note to consider is because it’s so slim, the durability and protection it gives wouldn’t necessarily be something that can withstand several falls and hits. So if you’re looking for a strong, durable case, I wouldn’t entirely recommend this particular case. Putting the case on is or can be quite difficult, especially the gold plastic part of it, and taking it off is also a bit of a hassle. However, the size of the iPhone Xs and X is a slight difference, so it may depend. All cons aside though, if you’re just looking for a case that looks amazing and feels slim, then I would recommend this case. It really does give it a very nice look to it, and keeps the bulkiness at a minimum.

I just looked through my Amazon orders and see that I've ordered this case 5 times over the last 8 months.It's a really beautiful case (I get lots of compliments about it), and if I ever do drop my phone, it's protected (for that specific drop). But then the case gets ragged really quickly, and the gold top and bottom part break/snap easily. Even if I haven't dropped it, it will snag on things and then snap/crack. I kept replacing it because it had my popsockets on it and I didn't want to remove them) so I would replace the gold parts--though once I had to replace the main body part (when the side button pieces broke off).So, yeah. Beautiful case, low durability.
