Great Performance; OEM Look
Installed on a 2005 Ford Escape with standard gray plastic bumpers. First I painted the sensors; Behr, Chalk color, Classic Noir, Matte and Rust Oleum 2X Ultraclear, Matte, both from Home Depot. Virtually an exact match to the bumper. I researched photos online to get the exact OEM placement. Wired the power wire to the car's red and black reverse light wire in the wire bundle in the jack storage compartment and grounded it to the jack. Make sure you mark each sensor wire A, B,C, D and plug them in the correct way on the control box as indicated in the instructions. They are functioning very well. My criticism is that they start beeping at about 3 1/2 feet and the steady tone comes on at about 1 foot. I would prefer they come on a little further out and go to steady tone at about 6 inches for tight parking spots. I'm going to put a set on the front now. Overall fantastic value and great performance!

Looks factory installed!
I have been buying/using these type backup sensors for years now. I love them. I put them on my daughters car as well as my own. Nary an issue, they ALWAYS work and work correctly. This time, I got the grey ones to go with my grey Escape. Initially, the sensor colors looked like they were s lighter shade, but after installation, they blended in perfectly. They work perfectly as well. I only used 3, 1 on each end and 1 in the middle. The speaker/buzzer is in the rear and is plenty loud enough to hear above normal radio listening levels when backing up a car. Final solid tone means you are approximately 2.5 feet from the object being detected. I would prefer something closer, like 12"-18", but, what are ya gonna do? I still recommend this for the price. VERY easy installation, ESPECIALLY if you already have an aftermarket backup camera installed and working.Would buy again. Glad I got the color matching this time over the black I usually get. Much classier. Perfect color match for my 2012 Ford Escape Sterling Grey!

Exactly what I was looking for.
This works well so far. It looks really nice if you do it correctly and take your time, and it seems to work very well so far. The pilot bit on the included hole saw bit was very weak and didn’t go through my plastic bumper, so I had to use another drill bit, and then use the hole saw to drill out the hole. The actual hole saw worked well, just the pilot bit on it did not.I didn’t remove my bumper for this install, I used some fish tape, and a friend with pliers and fished everything up through a space in the bumper near the brake light, and then passed the wires into the trunk through the brake light wiring pass through.Speaker works well, I keep it on high so I’m not sure about the difference in low and high as some have stated, but high is definitely loud enough for me, and the off switch on the speaker works and is definitely a plus for me. I put bikes on the back of my car frequently, so being able to shut off the speaker when I have bikes on the back is perfect.

Junk
11/17/19: Junk already broke. Amazon nonexistent in helping me get warranty or return.I installed these sensors on a 2004 Lexus RX330. After installation they seem to work very good. I spaced them about 12" apart, on the upper part of the rear bumper. Yesterday, however in the shadows and the sensor was wet, they did malfunction by giving me a solid beep. By the time I got into the sun, I tested them again and it was fine. I included a video of the reverse and sound this device makes. Note: The reviews on distance are right, as it doesn't start until your are 4 to 5 feet away.I used a T-Tap and wired the sensor power into the reverse lights. The reverse lights are on the hatch part of the RX330 making the installation more difficult. I temp wired the unit and sat it in my lap in the drivers seat to test all function and make sure it was working. The best part was, all installation was completed in the rear of the vehicle. I wired power to the unit then ran the wires up the hatch and down into the roof then back down to a storage area under the hatch floor. I took my time drilling the sensors, I didn't find any difficulty with the provided hole saw. I was lucky and found a plug in the middle of the hatch floor, where I ran the sensor wires thru and into the hatch where the unit was installed. I placed the speaker behind to the side of the rear passenger seat. Overall I found this installation not too hard, but you must know wiring and basic panel removal steps. I will update this later on the longevity of the sensors.

Doesn't seem to work as well as some other low-cost kits
I have mixed thoughts about this kit. The build quality is cheap - but I didn't expect a lot there. Functionally, it worked brilliantly for several weeks and then suddenly it started false alarming - seemingly detecting obstacles that simply weren't there. I installed this on a convertible car that (because of a smallish-size plastic rear window) is a little difficult to reverse. I was happy with it until this false alarm stuff started. I disconnected the sensors one-at-a-time, and found that only one of them was causing the issue. At some point I will probably try replacing just that one sensor, but I learned of a nice "feature" in the troubleshooting process. The brain unit seems to do a self-test every time you shift into reverse. Because it is detecting a disconnected sensor, it emits thee quick beeps - I am supposing this is by design, to warn the driver that the system has a fault. I didn't expect that level of sophistication from a very inexpensive kit. Anyway, after the three"warning" beeps, the thing works normally, albeit with reduced coverage. I may try to contact the seller to see if they might warranty the thing. Until then, this is a 3-star rating.

Recomendado.
