Good set of small bowls.
Good melamine side bowls with lids. I use them to portion ingredients and for sides of fruit, rice, cottage cheese, etc. kids are great for dipping sauces. Good product, well made. I do not own a dishwasher but they clean up super easy in the sink.

really nice, classy looking bowls
I got these for a Japanese-themed dinner I wanted to serve my family. They worked great and looked lovely. I now use them all the time -- they're such a convenient and easy to hold size, and being able to put the lid on to keep the contents warm is great. They looks really high quality and have a nice feel.

Very nice
It's a small bowl, but that's what I wanted. You could hold it in the palm of one hand. But for miso soup, it's just right. The lid is the one down side for me, it's just a little unruly to use, but otherwise it's perfect

Attractive little bowls.
Despite knowing what size these were before purchasing, the small size still surprised me. They hold, comfortably, only 1/2 - 3/4 cup. The regular size Japanese soup spoons barely fit in the bowl. As others have stated, the lids can be difficult to grasp. I also knew that hand washing would be required - I have no problem with that. These small bowls are great for SIDE servings of broth, rice or other foods. They also work nicely to present condiments.

these are exactly what they say they are and appear to be. (for some reason, that fact is actually remarkable in online shopping these days.)my kids felt that the lids are hard to get to sit flush, but i didn’t have a problem with them. they remove the lid and consume the soup immediately after it’s served anyway, then flip the lid and use it for wasabi or other condiment, so seems like a nonissue for them

Had no lid
When I received the bowl set they were cute, smaller than I thought they would be but nice looked. The reason that I returned them is that there was no lid with the set.

They are very sturdy and I use them all the time.

Excellent Quality
If you've ever eaten at a Japanese restaurant, then you've seen these bowls before. Well, let me tell you, these particular bowls are hefty and built for everyday use. They also has very nice lacquer finish. An excellent value.
