I'm not much for writing reviews, but thought it might help for those 'on the fence'.I was hesitant to purchase this because of the price. But now that I have it and see the quality, I see the value. First off, it is very well designed. All the pieces fit together easily and the design adds to the sturdiness of the cabinet. I like the overall look of the cabinet. It doesn't have that 'cheap' look like so many other products do.As far as assembling, all the pieces are clearly marked and easy to identify. The instructions go beyond -- not just a picture of a piece of hardware with a #, but a good description of each item. The hardware is definitely of good quality, and the instructions are very clear and precise. Additionally, about 60+ screws/fasteners were preassembled, likely saving at least an hour of time and frustration. I am not a fan of the cam system, so having actual bolts and screws (which, I might add are countersunk - another nod to the quality of the design) is a big plus in my opinion. The design and hardware of the doors make them easy to install and simplifies later removal. This is a wood product, and because wood has character, it takes stain differently. I like the nuances, but if you are a big fan the MDF products, you may not appreciate that. I really like the sliding doors, which were a breeze to put in, and they glide smoothly (this style of doors is very helpful when there is insufficient room to open a swing-out door). And lastly, the design and the materials of this cabinet make it extremely sturdy.One review stated that the doors make a lot of noise when you close them... true.. I may add a bumper to soften this sound, but really, just gently closing the doors is all that is necessary.Overall, highly recommend. Of course, I would love it more if it were a little less expensive, but I do not regret my purchase. If I would change anything, it would be to include two more additional shelves.FWIW-I receive no compensation in any way, shape or form for my review.

I bought this bookcase over a year ago, and I was so impressed and pleased with it that I bought a second one when I needed more book storage.The quality of this product is excellent. It is made of real solid wood, not the sawdust-glued-together "engineered wood" that you see in most knock-down, assembly required furniture. This product is also very well designed, both in how the parts go together and how it looks when finished. It does take some work to assemble, but the instructions were very clear and it was about as easy as it could be to assemble. They even include an entire bag of spare hardware, just in case something is missing or gets damaged or lost. I have never seen this done with any other product.This is a very sturdy and durable bookcase. I feel confident in loading it up with heavy books. I wouldn't feel quite so confident about this with the cheap particle board junk.You will pay a little more for this bookcase, but you will get a lot more in quality. It is actually a very good value. I can strongly recommend this product - something I don't do very often!

Books and decorations , solid furniture.well put togeathet, easy to assemble.

I bought this to store my records and place my player and speakers on top. While it was easy to assemble (one person too about an hour) it is not the best for record storage. Both doors will not fit on with records inside and the top is too small to put records on all levels. However, it is a really nice piece of real wood furniture and looks great

As a product manager I used to develop a lot of Ready-to-Assembly furniture. This company has thought of everything. The product was packaged very well, although I wish they used more sustainable protection inside the box. This was easy to assemble. I use it for books so I was glad to see that I could adjust the shelves to different heights on each side to accommodate taller books. The door literally took 2 seconds to install, so I don't understand the complaints about this - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! I did add some bumpers to the sliding doors so they don't bang when you close them. Regarding the glue issues that a lot of people complained about - here is a tip for removing the glue which I learned from my years of working on picture frames - alcohol removes the glue residue without any damage to the finish. I have a lot of MCM furniture and would have preferred a more polished finish and more color options, but it fits in well enough. The only real complaint I have is the off-gassing - I wish the company had considered the VOCs. Since the cabinet is in my bedroom, I covered it with a sheet at night for a week or so. Overall, well made and worth the price.

What a find! This is a gorgeous, well made, strong and gorgeous cabinet! I bought it to replace a small table I had in my nook area to go with my distressed brownish grey dining table and the design, wood, finish and style are perfect! Even nicer than I imagined! I am a female and assembled it very easily on my own. Just as other reviewers say, the packaging was amazing! I ordered the cabinet yesterday and it was at my front door at 7 am today! Less than 24 hrs, it was easily assembled and in place before noon today. There is absolutely nothing cheap about this cabinet, the instructions nor the hardware. Even came with extra hardware which I didn't need. THe only (minor) issues were that the front left and right doors were incorrectly labeled but was easy to detect because the instructions have great large pictures; also there were no starter holes for small screws to attach the back but that was no pblm, I always use a nail to start holes and I did just that, no problem. Absolutely super satisfied! Best purchase ever!
