I was skeptical at first about buying this game as a 'collectors edition' as we had never played it before.. But we've had a great experience with another of their games "Flash Point: Fire Rescue" so I opted to spend some more and get this version..I'm glad we did. Everything from the Awesome Medical Case the game is packaged in, to the board and game pieces feels top notch. Very attractive presentation to suck you into the experience.My whole family was quickly immersed in the game and even my youngest (7yr old son) who has ADHD was reliably focused on what actions he could take on his next turn to help the group the most and beat back the advancing threats! Very impressive! Having played Flashpoint before the whole character traits and actions system was very easy to pickup and play, including for my kids, but as a newbie I can see how there's quite a few rules/steps to remember (we still sometimes skipped an infection or something, after drawing outbreaks, etc.).Value wise, you're better off with the standard edition.. That's just a given. But if you enjoy the game, or others like it, this is a GREAT presentation that I don't think you'll regret picking up.

My husband loves the game Pandemic, so I got excited when I found this. It is all in a quality metal case, making it an attractive and nice set. Inside, the pieces are nicer than the usual set, with a high quality board that is thicker and sturdier than the standard set, and with plastic playing pieces that are much more sturdy than the cardboard ones in the usual set. The set also has miniatures of the players that are inked that shows the fine detail. This is a very high-quality set.

I have played this with my smart 7 year old and he absolutely loves it! It helps to teach about pandemics and being quarantined, but also working as a team *teamwork* and is a whole lot of fun! The game is is a little complex and does have a learning curve, but once learned it is excellent and well-worth the effort!!! We play a few times a week, make it a pandemic night—just a fun game. The board, world map is beautiful, I love the Petri dishes of the viruses, and the action figure are beautiful. The case is gorgeous as well—made of heavy gauge metal. This would make a wonderful gift for your gaming fan.

This is an amazing deluxe edition of one of the best board games of all time. Quality production here. Fans of Pandemic should be pleased with this version. A luxury item for the gamer who has everything.

Love the game. The new board, player pieces and other items make this game very unique. There was an issue with connection missing but emailed game maker and new connection pieces sent. Basically they are replacement pieces for what the board has on it. Can’t tell something was missing.

A great addition for a collector, beautiful art and very well produced. Doesn’t play any different from the original obviously, but everything about the presentation of this version is gorgeous.

Thank goodness i know how to paint. I can just cover the scratches on the tin case with paint. But overall, IT LOOKS LIKE A COLLECTOR'S EDITION BOARD GAME INDEED.I can't wait for the lockdown in our area to subside so i can play this with friends. For now, I will just marvel just how beautiful this game looks like.

The Pandemic games are by far my favorite board games. As such, this awesome collector's edition was a no-brainer. Realistically it's probably not worth it, especially with the misprint.If you know you're buying an overpriced novelty item, then you'll love it.
