8-Count Glitz Round Placemats with Glitter Border, Gold

Had 24 for Christmas, but only 16 lacquer chargers. I originally ordered 1 set of 8 to determine quality and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered 2 more sets and used these for each place setting. Red tablecloths, these gold "chargers", red plaid napkins...looked great with my gold leaf rimmed ivory plates. Afterwards I wiped them clean and will be able to reuse all but one of them. Wine was spilled all over one and it sort of rippled. My only criticism is that some stuck together and I had to use the tip of a knife to separate them. I initially though I hadn't been given the number I order...they were just stuck together!

I used these for a Thanksgiving party for 20. At first when they arrived, I was not sure that they would look as elegant as I was looking for because when they stand alone they are very glitzy. However once the table was set they looked beautiful. I paired them with burlap and a neutral fall tablecloth and crystal wine glasses so they added the perfect amount of glimmer. Also, they look much better with a setting on them than without. They were very sturdy. Although they are supposed to be one time use, of the 20 I used, 17 will be able to be reused as nothing was spilled on them and a very damp cloth wiped them clean. These were a great alternative to spending one hundred dollars or more on chargers I would use once a year.

Paper. They are fine if people are walking by your decorated table but not for stopping.

My sister in law enjoys decorating her table, so I've been gifting her themed table decor for special occasions and holidays. Initially, I was really excited about these place mats because they go very well with the Christmas theme I was going for and matched nicely with the Lenox napkin rings I bought for her. Unfortunately, once I received these mats I was quickly disappointed to discover that they are cardboard. To be fair, I reviewed the listing in case the disappointment was my own fault and I overlooked this being stated. However, after searching, the listing does not disclose the material and only refers to the as "mats". While this isn't entirely dishonest, I do find it a bit deceptive. Reading "mat" and taking the price into consideration, I believed they were going to be made out of traditional mat material, nothing special but functional. (That foam-like feel but easy to wipe off.) I feel the listing should include the material so buyers fully know what to expect.Since these are cardboard, they aren't very durable. My sister in law used them to set her table for New Years, and I noticed that the center metallic was scratching off. Also, you can't wipe them off without damaging them.If you're looking for something to keep and reuse, I wouldn't recommend these for the above listed reasons. If you're looking for something temporary, these would be fantastic. They are gorgeous in a set table and look just as pictured. They are the perfect size for a standard sized plate, and create a very nice glitter border surrounding the plate. My sister in law received many compliments on how nice her table looked. These are very functional, just not durable.

beautiful good quality place mats... they will last for maybe 1-3 events but are kind more on disposable side depending on what you are using them for. I used some for center pieces and have used them 3 times so far. But I also used some for place mats and those I will throw away after Fall is over.

I know some people had a problem with these being cardboard but for the money, I was extremely happy! They looked beautiful for a dinner party I had! And they stayed in decent enough shape to reuse. With that said, I’m sure that if something gets spilled on one of them it would be ruined but the value is there and again they looked really nice!

Used these for Christmas Dinner table setting. Worked perfect with my gold trimmed plates, glasses, silverware, etc.

They are cardboard, which I knew. Had bought them for a one time use. However, at the end of the evening, they were still in good shape, so I wiped them off and kept them. But, again, they are cardboard and do not expect to use them more than once.
