Way too hard and not at all enjoyable. Followed directions but this will not yield a chewy Carmel apple. Don't waste your money.

I had a hard time finding these in the store, and ordering in bulk from Amazon was easy and cost efficient. These make perfect caramel apples. You just have to stretch them as you work down over the apples. I used good sized apples, not super big but certainly not small. Once you stretch them over and work it down the apple, just fold and press down at the bottom of the apple. Then you can dip the covered apple in chocolate or white melts, drizzle with melted almond bark, add sprinkles, place small candies on them, you name it. If you get a tear in the caramel, it is super easy to mend it with a little piece of caramel. Your decorations will hide that. I did not warm them up in any way before using. As I was working them down the apple, my hands added enough warmth for them to be pliable. They were a huge hit as gifts and stayed perfect at room temp for several days. Much more cost effective than buying a premade caramel apple. I also cut some of the caramel disks in strips, wrapped around pretzel rods, then drizzled those with candy melt, sprinkles, etc.

These came in a set of 3 and are fresh with an expiration date of 2026.
