I love these olive wood ladles and this one is well made and a larger one. Nice marbling on the wood although sometimes you don't always get that with olive wood. Do not put them in the dishwasher obviously and just be careful not to drop it on the floor the wood will crack or split, which is what happened to my last one. BUT that was my fault. Overall you can't go wrong with wooden spoons they are durable and won't scratch teflon pants. Love the large ladles for soups, stews, sauces, etc.

Beautiful! Olive wood is simply divine to admire. Does not damage my leCreuset pans, very sturdy and holds a good scoopful of soup.

We decided to replace all of the plastic utensils in our kitchen with wood or bamboo due to concerns about unhealthy chemicals leaching into our food. After much searching, found this well-designed olive wood ladle. It fits comfortably in hand, is easy on our glass cookware and looks great in our kitchen. This ladle holds a decent amount and is just the thing for dishing up soup, chili or anything else that a big spoon can't handle. We purchased ours from Naturally Med in the U.K. through Amazon (listing found under "More buying choices") because their price, including shipping was substantially cheaper than the other seller. Only took six days to arrive from the U.K. Customer service at Naturally Med is excellent. The first ladle we received was nice but had a flaw. We contacted Naturally Med and they quickly shipped a perfect replacement. We have used the ladle many times and are very happy with both its appearance and function. In fact we like it so much my wife was been making dishes that require a ladle to serve just to have a reason to use it!

While the colors are nice, the spoon is far too bulky to pick up the last bits out of the bottom of the pan, I don’t understand why they made the spoon so bulky and cumbersome. Therefore, I am returning

After searching for large wooden ladles, for a long time, we found this product. Since purchase, it has been a revolutionary and integral part of our kitchen--for some reason, only plastic and metal ladles are widely available, not wooden ones. It has:- a very high quality and shows great craftsmanship,- beautiful natural wood patterns,- a uni-body solid wood design that holds up to differing temperatures quite well.We do suggest rinsing immediately after use, so that it can be washed by hand, without any dried food stuck on it. Of course, leaving it in liquids or very sudden changes of temperature will result in cracking at some point, since it is made of one solid piece of wood.They do make a very important and unique product, which we also use and love: wooden serving/cooking ladles, which are a perfect fit for a scratch-free soup/stew cooking/serving experience.Dealing with Naturally Med, as a company, was also very pleasant. They do make other great products.

I was worried that it might have a crack, since others had mentioned this, but mine came perfect. The olive wood has the beautiful dark lines on the light tan background. I rubbed some oil on it, and the colors of the wood shone through. Very happy with this purchase

Upon receiving the ladle, I was very pleased. The grain of the wood is beautiful, and after initially treating with oil, it was more so. However, after using the utensil only once, hand washing and re-oiling it, a small crack appeared in the bowl of the ladle.

Considering it's shipped from UK, the delivery time wasn't bad. And the ladle is so pretty and well made, I think it worth the waiting. And you can't beat the price!Update on 2/6/2013: I took one star of because I got a crack on one side of the edge, about 1 inch long after the first use. I'm not sure if it's because I used it for creamy soup? Maybe I should soak it in oil first? I don't know. Didn't see anybody else complained this.

The item was as expected. I accidentally entered a bad review for another ladle that arrived broken. The olive ladle was in perfect condition, well packed. My apologies!

All i can say is WOW. Absolutly stunning. A very suitbale size Ladel will hold a real good ladel full. All finished so perfectly, lovely and smooth no lumps or anything that would need to be rectified by myself. Also love the guide that comes with it so you can get a lifetime use from it. I will be adding to this collection when the money allows so that i have this full set of delightful tols !Have fallen in love with this product as soon as i opened it. Will be used daily and looked after with lots of love.

Ein fairer Preis für diesen Suppenschöpper. Liegt gut in der Hand sieht super aus und ist auch noch aus einem Naturmaterial. Nach der Handwäsche Öle ich ihn manchmal mit einfachem Öl ein und er sieht aus wie neu. Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden und habe auch noch Kochlöffel und Pfannenwender dazu bestellt.
